The prestigious remix comes courtesy of Gilb’R, founder of Versatile Records and one half of Chateau Flight: a slower downtempo piece with an infectious, almost improvisational synth melody, with vocals taking center stage here, full of atmospheric sounds all over that land into a deep dreamy break.

A very welcome follow up, aptly titled “Lunatic 2”, this tune is fiercely uptempo and energetic: the psychedelic melody swirls inside, outside and around your mind, while the fluid bass line counterparts the schizophrenic rhythm. On top of this, powerful emotional vocals take you into another dimension.

Now that you are playing at Nook in Bucharest on the 27th of January, we finally can have an extended conversation about music, vinyl, DJ, producing and managing.

Let‘s start with the fresh news. Your album is coming out anytime soon. We all wonder what we can expect to listen to, knowing you usually don‘t stick with a single genre and many times you are collaborating with sound masters and wizards


Idriss D: Hello guys, thank you again for reaching out and yes, I’m happy we’ll meet in Bucharest at Nook Club. I’ve been working on the album for two years and a half, it’s a very important project for me to elaborate the music of my beloved country Algeria in an electronic key and happy to introduce four feats of master Algerian artists: Zineddine Bouchaala, Gasba Electrique, Leila Moon and Chazil."

db Artists agency was created in 2006 by idriss D.
The main goal, beside actively booking international artists, was to break into Italys’ nightlife and party culture by backing up new and upcoming talents and providing them with large-scale dj tours and studio help on the production side.
Beginning its collaboration with Freak’n’Chic label, T Agency and Orbeat Bookings, db Artists soon established itself among the a-list of Italian electronic music managements, becoming in a short time the exclusive partner for Clonk and Minus artists, and more recently by representing Cadenza, the most acclaimed label nowadays, lead by renowned stellar dj Lucien Nicolet (Luciano).
db Artist and its team of like minded enthusiasts are constantly evolving and challenging themselves to find new opportunities and looking forward to finding great people to work with, inspired by their shared love of techno beats and house grooves. This unconditional passion and drive lead the two friends to start a sister label called db Artists Musique, which is known for its eclectic and diverse style, showcasing brand new producers next to well-known artists such as Arnaud Le Texier and Fabrizio Maurizi himself.
db Artists plays an important role in selecting djs for Italy’s famed clubs like Cocoricò Riccione, Amnesia Milano, Area Sassuolo, Il Muretto, Guendalina, Bizzarro, Tag and Fresh’n’Fruit.
Over the last years, it has promoted Cadenza Vagabundos and has organized massive events featuring Luciano and his crew of unconventional artists and djs, drawing much attention and widespread recognition

Memento was born in the far 2006 in the thick fog of the Pianura Padana area, between Mantua and Bologna which is worldwide famous not only for Tortellini and Parmesan but also for Techno Music and the deep style. 
A city that keeps always an eye on the first steps of the far Detroit. 
It was born as a creative outlet for Idriss D’s (an algerian dj who fell in love with Italy) musical vision. 
Berlin and the minimal style showed their power during those years and our cowboy decided to give his contribution to the scene creating partly for fun the label Memento.
