On the 25th of September, 2025... I was walking my dogs, as I was returning 3 miles (& back) from the park, I saw a mysterious light coming from the sky. 

It was flashing light, silent, and leaving a streak of (scattered) burned remnants.

I asked to confirm with my astronomer/mathematician friend, and he suggested it was a meteor. An explanation that makes the most sense.
