Today I wrap up 2024 with one of my favorite new producers, well new to me anyway, Lost Astronaut. 
As with the others we talk about his history as a producer, his influences, why break beats remain his go-to form of expression and what it has been like to have some of the biggest names in the industry play his tracks on a global stage. Lost Astronaut interview & set from POD 12/20/24

Klein-kunstenares Charlotte Glorie bracht dit jaar haar nieuwe verzamel-bundel uit. Dit heeft de titel: ”Feest van nieuw leven en oud jaar”. Het bevat 29 liedjes, sketches, columns en verhalen met een originele kijk op kerst en de jaarwisseling.

Tijdens een optreden op 24 november bij geloofsgemeenschap De Drie Ranken bracht ze een aantal liedjes en verhalen van dit boekje ten gehore.

Helaas was de kwaliteit van de opname wat betreft de liedjes niet uit te zenden maar gelukkig hebben we nog wel de verhalen en gedichten geluidstechnisch iets kunnen verbeteren. Die hoor je vandaag tijdens deze kerstspecial van 5 kwartier in een uur. 

Omdat de tijd het toelaat keren we ook nog terug naar het jaar 1981 toen de LP: Stille Nacht uitgebracht werd. Op die LP verteld Aart Staartjes een aantal kerstverhalen waarvan er twee hier te horen zullen zijn.

We did it, comedy fans. We withstood another year of craziness, hundreds upon hundreds of comedy specials, and have gotten my friend and colleague in comedy criticism, Jason Zinoman from The New York Times, to join me for another December to Remember and try to make sense of it all. 2024, a year that started with a fake AI George Carlin and a captivating Katt Williams performance on Club Shay Shay, that saw the relaunch of @Midnight as After Midnight on CBS, that saw Just For Laughs go bankrupt and cancel their Montreal bash only to promise a revival in 2025, that saw the major presidential candidates sit down with so many comedians for election-season podcasts, can we make sense of all of that? It was a year when Netflix went live in a big way, but were their specials funnier than the hundreds of offerings on YouTube, and can upstarts at Hulu, Veeps and Dropout provide some much-needed competition? What does it say about comedy that a comedy D&amp;D show, Dropout’s Dimension 20, as well as a glorified Gong Show in Tony Hinchcliffe’s Kill Tony, both sold out Madison Square Garden? And who were our Comedy MVPs for 2024? It was obviously a big year for Nikki Glaser, who will host the Golden Globes to kick off 2025, and another banner year for Nate Bargatze. It was also a breakout year for Cole Escola and Alex Edelman, each of whom won over Broadway. Josh Johnson and Conner O’Malley won the internet, or showed us how to defeat the algorithms. Whom else did we give shoutouts to? What made us worry about comedy trends? There’s a lot to get to, so let’s get to it!

Dudley Anderson was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from Bible College in 1990, God opened the way for Dudley to branch out into Christian radio. As a musician and worship leader he developed a heart for Christian music, which became the main thrust of his radio work in South Africa. 

 In 1996 God called Dudley and his family to the United Kingdom where he now works as a radio programme producer and presenter. Dudley also writes a FREE weekly e-mail devotional called, GodTracker, available at surereality.net
