Keifer and Shawna (Thompson Square) were real green in the industry when they played Lulupalooza 2008 at Lucy Buffett's Lulu's in Gulf Shores, Alabama, that summer. It was my first summer working for Lucy, my first summer in what I would come to call home. When they began to croon this one to the humongous audience that turned out, I knew I had to have the CD. I had recently discovered the numbing effects of alcohol on top of my problem with cutting, following a miscarriage and failed relationship. Years later when the CD could no longer be played because of scratches, I reached out to Shawna. She said that while the physical CD no longer existed, they had recently added the digital files to Amazon Music. Best money I have ever spent. This song has continued to be my lifeline, even all these years later.
