While at the airport with my family, lost in nostalgia, I started writing this song. I found myself questioning, who am I? What actually matters to me in life? And, how did I come to realize the importance of these things?

Due to complex trauma, I'm an emotionally enmeshed human. I'm working hard on overcoming codependent tendencies. So, instead of thinking for myself, I'm susceptible to taking on your (or society's) ideas of “what matters.” What did I take on, in my unconscious thirst for your acceptance & validation? Which of these things will actually still matter on the day I lose the people who I love that matter the most to me? 

When I dance or even just bob my head to music, I love how my senses (physical) and my heart (emotional) are in sync. For me, to dance is a meditation — it's a way to get the body & the mind connected and aligned. So when I'm rocking to the rhythm that EDM holds all of me in, I feel authentically in touch with who I am and what I feel. There's a sense of "Hey, I'm safe," and "Hey, it's ok to be me." And in that sanctuary, I'm safe from danger, anxiety, and fight/flight/fawn responses. And I can investigate such deep questions with much clarity. That’s what this song means to me.

Biography:
LUISDEMARK is a popular DJ / producer from Slovakia known for his energetic EDM style combined with commercial music. He started his DJ career when he was 13 years old. On the slovak music scene he’s one of the top DJs and produces his own music with Slovak and foreign artists. His tracks releases on foreign labels and also has many successful remixes and mashups to his credit.

His first track "My French" released on Big&Dirty Records was in 2020 and it was very succesful.
