Response to Smiling Dog project 
Mixed media piece of Sound and cardboard sculpture

The structure is light and flimsy held together with tape, both a malleable & vulnerable material. Hand painted, handmade and imperfect.

The montage of photos display snapshots of my preparing process.

Overall it's bright and colourful to denote joy and fun engaging with participants. There are tools represented from my studio including bubbles which is something 'new' I've added to my creative toolkit.

On the other side of the structure is a game with numbered openings and an array of objects signify that we don't know what life can throw at us.

The sound piece is of me as an Artist working in studio, picking up the sounds of drawing, folding paper, cutting, preparing the materials, making the structure, a clock ticking, nature, birdsong, reflecting with walking, humming,  & keyboard playing.

An invitation:
the audience are invited to blow some bubbles, write or draw a symbol or sketch, on a post-it, place it on the box, or scrunch it up, throw it in one of the openings.

Reflecting on complexities

"Odd Collection" celebrates unconventional love through the lens of mismatched treasures and imperfect art. Using fresh metaphors of thrift store finds and curio shop windows, it explores how beauty exists in what others might overlook. The arrangement builds from intimate observations to joyful acceptance of perfectly imperfect connections. Each verse discovers new ways that apparent flaws create their own kind of masterpiece, while the chorus celebrates the art of mismatched hearts finding their own design.
