Hey Yay Yay (Early Jam Sketch)
First upload in my Developing Songs series.
This one’s called “Hey Yay Yay” — something I’ve been jamming for a while just because it feels good to play. Starting to shape it into a full song for the second WeKindred album.

Both guitar parts are improvised in this version — just feeling it out. I’ll be pulling riffs, licks, and lead parts from here to craft the final structure.

It turns out i won 1st place in the Biome Jam -and- got #1 in all the sub-scores too. wowow that never happens for me.  I did however push pretty hard on production where I took the pixabay environmental pig sounds and then ran individual vocoder synths for different MixCraft synths on every single pig sound separately, which created a rather rich experience...

A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.

Door d’Or takes its name from the golden door to the space that became their creative refuge, and where the band reformed after many years.

Established by Mike Ison, Mat Geddes, and Darin Steinkey—three friends drawn together by a series of synchronistic events in the late 1990s—the band found its roots in the indie circuits of the west coast and Victoria, BC. Their early sound was forged in late-night jam sessions, lo-fi recordings, and the raw electricity of live performance. These formative years were a blur of creativity, local touring, and experimentation, laying the groundwork for their musical chemistry.

Then life scattered them across the map for over a decade. As the world turned upside down in 2020, the trio reconnected. What began as conversations and shared ideas soon became music again—stronger, wiser, and more intentional.  

Improvisation is central to Door d’Or’s process—a way to lose and find themselves in sound, to let space and time shape each moment, each song, as much as the strings and skins do. Every rehearsal is part ritual, part adventure—an unfolding rather than a plan.

Their live performances are immersive and intimate, built on a foundation of deep friendship and musical trust. Whether you're moving to the groove or dissolving into the feedback, Door d’Or offers an opening—a way through.

In the very early 1990's, James Michael Tyler and Keith got together to try to make music that would drive people out of Bourgeois Pig at closing time. Instead what they created was an ongoing collaboration of musicians who get together and improvise music directly to digital recorder while listening thru headphones.

 For the last three decades redfeltpig has seen many different and wonderfully talented musicians grace its door. The inspiring members of redfeltpig are, James Michael Tyler (keyboards), Shane P. Rhody (guitar, R.I.P.), Audrey Wiechman (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar), Matt Norton (bass), Tom Gladders (guitar), Keith King (drums).

In Zen, ensō (円相) is a circle that is hand-drawn in one uninhibited brushstroke to illustrate the moment when the mind sets the body free to create.

A mix of mermaid, shape-shifter, and siren, the Rhine Maidens were water-dwelling creatures who lured sailors to their death on treacherous rocks. In Germany, the chief water sprite lent her name to the Loreley, an especially deadly boulder in the Rhine River en route to the North Sea.

A Shout Out of Gratitude to everyone sharing commenting and liking our Track Ava's Song: Star Born Child. She succumbed to her injuries in a accident involving a distracted driver. Some of her organs were then donated.She was a really special child that left this world much too soon. She is still with US in spirit and would have loved her song!
