In this series, we’ll have honest conversations about inclusion, belonging, and the barriers created in society for some. Together with guests from all walks of life, we’ll be unpacking big questions like: What does belonging look like? Who gets to belong? And how can we build communities where everyone feels seen and included?

We are excited to be here and hope it sparks reflection, connection, and maybe even change.
Today we are joined by a very special guest, Clare Burgess, Chief Executive of Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey. Clare brings both professional insight and personal lived experience of sensory loss. Clare has a particular interest in loneliness and social isolation, and the role of the community in tackling these issues. In our conversation, we talk about what meaningful support looks like and how we can all play a role in creating more inclusive communities.

Pour mieux comprendre comment l’Union européenne transforme le quotidien des Lyonnais·es, la Ville de Lyon, en partenariat avec EUROPE DIRECT Lyon Métropole, propose à huit jeunes adultes de partir à la rencontre de l’Europe dans leur ville et au-delà, à travers un programme mêlant découverte, mobilité et engagement citoyen. A Lyon du 30 juin au 4 juillet, puis à Turin du 7 au 11 juillet.

Par cette initiative, la Ville de Lyon souhaite participer à la construction d’une Europe proche, vivante et accessible, en donnant aux jeunes les moyens d’en devenir pleinement acteurs.
