Stede in Mix - Spring 26 part.1

Our third guest mix,  it’s the one and only, Alex Gaskill.

Alex is a Manchester based DJ who has been playing all things chuggy and psychedelic since the mid-90s. He’s a founding member of the Kibosh collective of DJs who have been putting on free parties across the South Manchester suburbs since 2019.

Alex started off immersed is the progressive house scene of the late 90s, having a stint working for Global Underground in Newcastle, and then holding a couple of residencies in Manchester which were more focussed on the 70s funk and psychedelia end of his record collection.  In 2002 Alex took a couple of boxes of records to Japan where he was soon playing at mountain festivals in the Japanese Alps and the bars around Nagoya. 

These days Alex can be found playing regularly at his own Kibosh nights and has made guest appearances at other Manchester nights such as Club Solo, Psychedelic Discotech, and John Paynter's Paisley Dark events in Leeds. You can expect a bit of genre hopping with Alex’s sets but there’s always a groove for the body and soul alongside some acid-tinged psychedelia for the mind.

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.

KINCIZE is a progressive house and melodic techno producer and DJ out of Buffalo, NY. Before finding his home in electronic music, his musical roots ran deep in the hardcore, punk, emo, and metalcore scenes — picking up drums in his early teens and playing in multiple hardcore and metal core bands in Buffalo before eventually finding his way to the decks.

Influenced by the sounds of Eric Prydz, Joris Voorn, CamelPhat, Adriatique, and Lane 8, his sound sits at the intersection of progressive house, melodic techno, trance, and deep electronic storytelling — emotive, driving, and built for the long game.

Emerging as a producer in 2025, KINCIZE has already carved out a presence in Buffalo's underground — holding residencies with Unlocked Underground (SOL Buffalo, Riff City), No Fun Lo-Fi, and playing shows with MNM Presents; sharing the stage in support of artists such as KREAM, JOA, Devault, Kamino, and more.

IHANA klubi syntyi helmikuussa 1995 saattamaan Housen & Discon sanaa Helsingin yölämään. Kaava on yksinkertainen: hyvää bilesoundia, muutama tanssipuoli ja isosti yläaaltoa. Homma perustettiinkin tyydyttämään kolmen herran mielihalua järjestää hyvän mielen kekkereitä. Ensin aloitettiin muutamilla oneoffeilla, mistä klubi muuntautui saman vuonna kesäklubiksi, josta tulikin pisin yhtä jaksoinen kesäklubi, mitä Helsinki sillä hetkellä tarjosi. IHANA porukkaan kuuluu kymmeniä saman ajatusmaailman omaavia ystäviä, keille kiitos kuuluu isosti isolla i:llä! Yhtenä erikoisuutena on myös kekkereiden rakentaminen paikkoihin, missä ei muuten jatkuvaa yökerhotoimintaa järjestetä...

Ihana was number one summer club in Finland for more than 15 years and still going "strong". This group is for all the friends and family of Ihana.

Vuonna 1997 aloittaneessa IHANAssa ja sen lukuisilla sisarklubeilla mm. Viimassa (Kerma) ja Viihteessä (Klaus K) on ehditty parin vuosikymmenen aikana juhlia housen, sielukkaan teknon sekä mustan musiikin tahtiin satoja kertoja. Välittömästä fiiliksestä ja rennosta ilmapiiristä tunnettuja bileitä on järjestetty Kerman ja Fennian tapaisten legendaaristen klubien lisäksi myös mm. laivalla ja raitiovaunussa. Helsingin yöelämän insituutioiksi ovat muodostuneet varsinkin Café Ursulan IHANA kesätapahtumat sekä mm. Kermassa, Stockholm Diskotekissä ja Kaivohuoneella järjestetyt todella lengendaariset Studio 54 -bileet. Monesti bileet on vedetty oman porukan voimin, joskus taas vieraaksi on saatu esimerkiksi Dennis Ferrer, Laurent Garnier, Joey Negro tai David Morales. Kesäinen ja lämmin tunnelma on ollut IHANAn tavaramerkki aina! Kun lauteille nousee Stede niin varmaa on, että tarjolle löytyy ihana ja maukas sekoitus uutta ja vanhaa housea, joka ei taatusti jätä ketään kylmäksi.

Manejando géneros  de la cultura Techno, Melodic & Techno, Progressive, Indie Dance y Tech House, fundador de la Guarida Electrónica. 

Resident DJ at Mangrooves & Aluna, weaving sonic journeys that transcend the ordinary. My sets are a space for celebration, inner exploration, and movement—where the dance floor becomes a portal to presence, connection, and joy.
