⌛«Sanding out of Time» — Theme

The main theme of the indie game project created as part of the Epic MegaJam 2022 competition.

The game is a 3D platformer in a steampunk setting, the action of which takes place in an hourglass. Therefore, it was important for me to convey the noise of steam engines, dynamically working and setting the rhythm of the composition along with the smoothly shimmering sound of sand. The role of which was played by a set of industrial percussion and a library of samples for Kontakt «Natural» from Native Instruments.

The main difficulty was the tight deadlines. According to the terms of the competition, a week was allocated for the entire project. During this time, we had to compose, record and process the instrumental parts of the soundtrack, as well as work on the sound design of the levels and the character. A rather ambitious approach was chosen to create the soundtrack, which was implemented in a very tight time frame. Nevertheless, I am pleased with the result.

 It was a very useful experience, thanks to which you can feel the balance between ambitions and deadlines.

Been messing around with beats since the 2010s I enjoy making anything from ambient stuff,electronic,house,chillstep,idm,soundtrack type stuff. I have lots of loops and stuff too dump from over the years. I started on fruity loops 9 back in the 2000s on my windows XP pc and since then I’ve made lots of stuff over the years. This page I’m just gonna dump everything I had recorded and just put it here as a way to remember my progress and a way to preserve my files. Lately I’ve been into video game dnb type music so that’ll be what is being uploaded here at this time.
