In this episode I was able to welcome the guys behind a wicked little deep house label called Ordinaire Records, based out of Strasbourg in France. Rony, Alex and Thomas have been putting on parties in their area and have their third vinyl release baking in the oven right now. I’ve played both their previous releases on my past shows so it’s been a pleasure to have them on to lay down 90 mins of their signature sound. Listening back to their mix brought out a lot of nostalgia for me as they touch on some of the sounds I was really into (and still am!) during my formative years in the early 2000s, with records from Inland Knights, JT Donaldson, EBE and more. Com mais de 30 anos de carreira, Jeison Torres é conhecido pelo repertório que oscila do House ao Techno.
Sua primeira residência foi nos anos 90, no lendário Rariah Private Club, onde se destacou rapidamente pela forma descontraída que tocava com vinil.
Traz em sua case muita experiência aplicada em um repertório elegante, onde mistura novidades com clássicos, elementos sombrios com timbres vibrantes e muita percussão. Toda essa mistura resume seu momento atrás dos toca discos onde a versatilidade é característica marcante.

A Leicester born / London based disk jockey working with the complete spectrum of house, while also enjoying the depths of techno, minimal and even up to a brighter disco vibe.

DJ/Promoter since 1991. One half of the Model Lovers and co-founder of Devoted Records.

I have been trying to attempt the perfect transition between 2 records for over 25 years and
one day I hopefully will get there but until then,  welcome to my Boucherie where we specialise in the exclusive currency of Global Electronic Soul. 

I managed Vinyl Frontier Records in Woking, Surrey for the best part of a decade living, breathing
and generally loving repetitive beats.  I have been fortunate enough to grace the platters at lots of different clubs,  events and festivals up and down the country and Europe.  I co ran the legendary night "Shuffle" (which may come back one day).  I won the coveted "bedroom bedlam" mixtape award for Muzik magazine, residencies at the Cross, The Pool , Piranah's and 333 in London and was awarded the Percy Thrower Lifetime achievement award for services to the green plant.  I have played at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Kimberley amongst others and more recenly a regular fixture at the Give ! festival for House of Honey.   These day's I can be found deep in stock pots working culinary magic for all kinds of people,  however you may still catch me behind the platters (that matter) as much as I can.
I love music with warmth,  sincerity and emotion however it comes and still relish the opportunity 
to share my sounds manually through the medium we know as Vinyl. As long as it's available I will 
continue to support it,  everything about it just works and I believe it helps strengthen our beloved scene.

DJ’s, Producers and label owners, Andy Riley and Laurence Ritchie (AKA Inland Knights) have created a brand name that most House heads have heard of.  Whether you like it deep , tech or more funky – when you think about Drop Music or Inland Knights a certain style of House comes to mind that is uniquely their own. Andy and Laurence’s reach is global, and their label’s continue to produce some of the finest House music 15 years after they started back in the UK, within Nottingham's party scene.
They first met in '93 DJ'ing with the infamous Smokescreen Sound System, and in '98 their label, Drop Music, was born with the release of 'Inland Knights Vol 1'.  This marked the beginning of a prolific production  schedule  which saw their work on labels such as 20/20 vision, NRK, OM Records, Cheeky, Amenti, Vista and more recently Miguel Campbell’s Outcross Recordings.

Andy and Laurence  met in ’93 and cut their teeth Dj’ing for Smokescreen, the renegade sound system from which they drew their early inspiration. Smokescreen consisted of dj’s, lighting people, sound people, a truck, a P.A, a generator and general helpers. Old warehouses, woodland, fields, quarries and houses were utilized with the sole intention of having a good time…. for free! By the mid 90’s smokescreen could guarantee a crowd of hundreds in attendance at their parties(which were most weekends), and their club nights became local institutions that ran for years with packed dancefloors. Into their 21st year, Smokescreen are still going strong and are still hosting quality club nights and parties in and around the Midlands.

By ’98 Laurence and Andy had made the inevitable step into production and the same year their fledgling label, Drop Music, was born. With the release of ‘Inland Knights vol 1’ , Riley and Ritchie undertook a busy schedule to write tracks for Drop  (almost all of the early output was Inland knights, despite many monikers). Drop Music has gone on to become one of the most highly regarded House labels in recent years (with 80 plus releases to date), and Inland Knights have gone on to become one of the most respected and prolific production outfits in the House community, carving a unique and distinctive House sound, and regularly taking on remix and Ep duties for fellow labels and producers. Highlights include the acclaimed ‘Mohammed Ali’ remix for Faithless on Cheeky Records, CD compilations and remixes for NRK and Om Records, three Ep's on 2020 Vision, Inland Knights first full length album entitled ‘Creative Spaces’, and more recently, Inland Knights album to mark 10 years of Drop Music entitled ‘Dust till Dawn’, not to mention countless Ep's on other labels over the years and a 30-minute live mix on Radio 1’s ‘Essential Selection’ show. More recently, the pair released 'Inland Bytes', a retrospective look at Inland Knights career so far.

Currently, as well as remix, production and label commitments, the pair maintain a busy international Dj schedule which takes them further and further afield as their reputation grows. Bookings have included regular slots at UK clubbing institutions such as Fabric, The End, The Egg, The Cross, Turnmills, Shindig, Back 2 Basics,  Sanky's, Chibuku Shake Shake, Ministry Of Sound, Cargo, Déjà Vu, The Arches and The Sub Club in Scotland, as well as smaller more intimate venues nationwide. Countless international trips have seen them tour the Globe. Most weekends Inland Knights can be found DJ'ing up and down the UK or Europe with regular international tours a permanent fixture in their Diaries.

Beki is a multimedia artist & DJ, born and raised in New York. While her roots began with visual art, she eventually channeled her creative energy into music, within which she applies the same principles she does to art. A few key words: soul, flow, depth, feeling. Always in the business of respecting the groove. Beki has held DJ residencies in NYC and Miami and plays frequently in Montréal.
