At this time of the year, we are deprived of light.  We long for the first signs of spring to bounce us back to life.  Now time is asking us to re-connect to the inner light and spread that out into a world that is so lacking spiritual light.

Inspired by Chapter 1 of the Lotus Sūtra, this song gives voice to the past life of Maitreya Bodhisattva—when he was known as Yaśaskāma, the Fame Seeker. Blending timeless Buddhist wisdom with modern soul, the song explores how our desire for recognition can evolve into a vow to serve, uplift, and illuminate others. It’s a tribute to every artist, seeker, and bodhisattva walking the middle way between longing and letting go. Written and performed by The William Altig Choir.
