The second term of Donald Trump has been eventful. After just weeks in office, the US president has alienated some of the most pro-American governments in Europe with his interventions in the war in Ukraine and his moves towards an accommodation with the aggressor in the conflict, Russia. He has also promised tariffs on goods from the European Union and strongly criticised EU laws and regulations being applied to American companies operating in the bloc. The next edition of IIEA insights will look at how this upheaval in transatlantic relations is affecting Ireland’s traditionally close ties with the US and how those ties might change over the next four years with Larry Donnelly, Law lecturer and columnist with the Journal.ie; Brian Jensen, retired US diplomat and former Section Chief at the US embassy in Ireland; Niamh King, Director of the Aspen Security Forum; and Fergal O’Brien, Executive Director at Ibec.

-We are responsible for our actions. We pray for our leaders, not worship them.
-Christ is the light of life and continuance vs. ceasing in death. Light gives motivation for others without complaint. The soul overrides fleshly desires of an animal. Satan knows the bible, but not righteousness.
-Christ is WORD of God. To hear/see Him is to hear/see God.
-God defines beauty differently than we do. We can't see inside. To really know someone, you must know their soul.
- The truth shall make us free. Eternally, unlike Abraham. Bringing us to salvation. With understanding God's process for others' trials. The Lord brings us out of our trials and puts us through what He must for our salvation, so understand your trials!
-Salvation is a process. Must be lived out. We avoid duplicating our parents' bad behavior and break generational curses in so doing. We are the answers to our own prayers.
-Reprobate mind has no conviction and justifies iniquity. Committing sin makes us a servant of sin.
- Loving Christ cleans up our thoughts. Sin is a choice. Don't nullify the cross.
-Proverbs- Wise man slow to speak and quick to listen. Our "gifts" and insights aren't to be used for hating. Our discernment isn't for making us disgusted about others. He knows our every nasty thought. We can only boast of the power of Christ in us.
