Format: 8-channel sound installation
 
Is an 8-channel sound installation exploring the porous boundaries between body and environment.
 
The work explores feminist and oceanic imaginaries, tracing the sonic paths of fluids and forces that traverse the membranes separating internal from external. 
 
The composition is built from field recordings captured by hydrophonic microphones placed inside the artists’s own body and in bodies of water — rivers, seas, swimming pools, showers, tap water. Tidal in nature, the piece emerges, swells and recedes, emphasising the tension between the intimacy of the body and the vastness of the ocean with the addition of environmental textures and vocal fragments recorded with omnidirectional and shotgun microphones. 
 
Listeners are invited into a visceral, meditative space where sounds leak, bleed, seep, and ooze, blurring the line between self and sea, voice and liquid, water and breath.

OOZING (2.0 mixdown)

PSR J1032−5804 is a 10-meter multimedia sculpture functioning as a glitch in reality. It consists of a mass of sharp, torn forms reminiscent of errors and artifacts of digital processing — but existing not on a screen, but in real life.

All of its components — the architectural form, the music, and the visuals on the screens — are built from reprocessed radio signals of a strange neutron star, which rotates rapidly and emits powerful pulsating waves, in which a clear rhythm is combined with chaotic peaks and random noise, as if the very nature of the star is constantly switching between order and malfunction — literally quoting our name broken composers and revealing the essence of our artistic method.

The name of the installation refers to the astronomical coordinates of this pulsar.
It is located in the Milky Way, within a triangle formed by the stars Vega, Deneb, and Altair — the brightest stars in the summer sky of the northern hemisphere.

Echoing this triangle in the sky, the sculpture is constructed from triangular mirrored panels and diagonally divided screens. When the image on them jitters and rhythmically distorts in sync with the sound, we quite literally see how outer space — a completely alien and inhuman environment with its vast scales, pressure, velocities, density, decay, and radiation — breaks into everyday reality, deforming both it and our perception.

Maziar subit un examen électroencéphalographique au département d’anatomie humaine de l’université de Palerme. Tandis qu’en rêve il s’enfonce dans le labyrinthe de tunnels creusés par la lave dans les entrailles de l’Etna, le souvenir du feu se transmue en constellations de lueurs et de miroitements moites.

Mêlant métarécit et méthodes expérimentales de montage procédural, l’installation cinématographique est montée par Hypnogram, un logiciel personnalisé conçu pour analyser le rythme des oscillations neuronales de l’acteur afin d’éditer les recombinaisons possibles de la banque audiovisuelle enregistrée au-dessus et au-dessous du volcan sicilien.

Perle évolue dans un monde dépeuplé qui se mue en projection de son esprit. À ses côtés, sa meilleure amie Oélia, une voix omnisciente, lui simule des environnements lumineux et sonores : paysages imaginaires qu’elles traversent ensemble afin de mieux interroger le sens de leur existence.

‘Closest to the chalk stream habitat, visitors will find a full size shed installed in the Orchard Room. Hundreds of painted panels are laid out randomly on shelves, and visitors are encouraged to playfully arrange these units on boards to create their own abstract response to the landscape. A specially commissioned sound installation by composer and field recordist Rob Godman will play continually in the Orchard Room. 'Sound within Sound' is made up of two ecosystems: the familiar sounds of the chalk stream habitat (birds, wildlife) are heard on entry to the room, and the unfamiliar underwater acoustic of the chalk stream itself, generated by two hydrophones placed at the bottom of our stream, can be heard inside the shed.’

Another snippet from Caligo Paean, darker in tone to evoke the power Of Caligo, who wasn't just in charge of mist but ruled the domain of chaos. 

Caligo Paean is a 1 hour long sound piece installed on river front property in the town of Franklin, Tasmania as part of the exhibition "When The Fog Clears". It formed part of the Ten Days on The Island Festival March 2025.
The work was installed in several locations across the property including a stack of subs under an old bus, in the main exhibition space and in an abandoned shed some 40 metres from the main area . The speakers were 'tuned' quite differently depending on their location and the sound was not delay corrected with the result of each mini-installation merging with each other in odd sonic ways - kind of calling the listener from one spot to another. The the work features field recordings, percussion, piano, bass guitar and Intonarumori as well as this special one off choir : )

Caligo is the Ancient goddess of Chaos. Born of the fog she controls the darkness, dwells in the void and is as old as the primordial matter that created the universe. This work is a tribute to the goddess as she continues to influence our lives and, in the case of this installation, the site and concept informing the show.

Obscura Signal is a studio dedicated to multimedia exploration. Founded in 2023, it brings together individuals with longstanding experience across diverse fields of multimedia. The collective includes 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗱𝘇 𝗔𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘆𝗮𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮.

𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 focuses on creating works that inhabit the intersection of lighting design, installation art, and the development and application of technology in storytelling. These narratives often surface from hidden stories embedded in spaces and are shaped through collaborations with artists, cultural workers, and thinkers across disciplines.

For this project, Kurnia Joedawinata led the conceptual development and project management; Faridz Akbar Sulaeman and Indra Fardiansyah developed the technical design; and the full installation was realized collaboratively with Aditya Rahman and Sattle.

Sattle is an electronic music producer and DJ shaped by the evolving Indonesian music landscape—from Bandung’s underground to Bali’s tropical horizons. Known for blending atmospheric textures with fluid rhythms, his music invites listeners into imaginative yet grounded sonic spaces.

In this project, Sattle approaches the space with experimental sound design—exploring how audio can summon memory, heighten atmosphere, and blur the boundaries between the human, the natural, and the sacred.
