It propels us beyond the boundaries of the known, allowing us to reimagine our world. Watch a young child and you will see a natural inclination to explore, ask questions and seek out new experiences.

For 35 years Judy has worked as a facilitator and coaching consultant in experiential learning, leadership development and organisational effectiveness. She is known for her insight and her ability to go into the depth of a subject in a fun and interesting way.. Judy is an author and co-founder of ‘Peace Halifax’ a festival for peace in the city of  Halifax, Canada. Her books include a young adult novel which she wrote with her two daughters, “The Seven Secrets of the Universe" (2014) and co-author “A-Z Spiritual Literacy" (2016), "Living as Art" (2018) and "Return to Source: The God Experience” (2020). Judy coordinates the  activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Atlantic, Canada.

Let's explore the Ukrainian intellectual tradition. What recurring ideas can be found in Ukrainian philosophy, literature, and historiography? What are the key topics of ongoing debates in these fields? 

Hosts: Volodymyr Yermolenko, a Ukrainian philosopher and the chief editor of UkraineWorld, the president of PEN Ukraine, and Tetyana Ogarkova, a Ukrainian literary scholar, and author of the French-language podcast "L’Ukraine face a la guerre" by the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre. Both are lecturers at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the oldest Ukrainian university.

Premiere: GruuvElement's - Intellect | Sound D'Elite

Right now, we live in a day and age that is all about the intellect. There is very little about earth connection right now. That's just the sort of time that we're in. 

It's a lot about figuring out your direction in life, judging to the right order, being in your head, having good mental faculties. It's considered inappropriate if you don't know how to read, write, and do math, and conclude.

I was watching this program on these hunters throughout the world, and there was these guys in the Amazon, and I looked in their eyes, and it was like, wow, that is a completely different world.

What we consider our interesting, complex, psychological landscape, they have that kind of inner connection to, and not necessarily intellectual, but intelligent connection and experience with the jungle, and the animals, and the spirits of the jungle.

Before they'd go out hunting, they'd basically "pray", although they don't really call it praying. I think that the interpreter understood it as praying, but they basically communicate with the spirits of the monkeys of the forest, because they're going out to hunt monkeys, and they communicate with the spirits of the monkeys, or the spirit that will bring them the hunt or the kill of that day.

In that way, they are honoring and acknowledging the spirits of the earth as the provider, as the creator, as part of the motion. They don't disregard it as something that just can be taken and had, or used to their own devices. 

What is the balance, or the possibility, or the doorway to a world where nature can thrive?

The earth can be part of, or considered in the creation of the future, not just bulldozed, and used, and ignored. And it is the disconnection from nature that creates the sickness in the body, and the insanity of the mind.

Intelligent connection with the nature and the spirits of the nature

A contribution to International Day of Yoga adopted by the United Nations in 2014 and celebrated across the world every year on 21st June.
 
Often thought of, particularly in the West, as the practice of physical exercises or Asanas, including systems of breathing, the word ‘yoga’ derives from the Sanskrit and means to join or unite, symbolising the union of body, consciousness and the Divine.
 
Our speaker this evening will explore the relationship and connections between Hatha Yoga in its various forms and levels and Raja Yoga as taught and practised by the Brahma Kumaris.
 
Speaker: Bhavesh Ramji 
Bhavesh came to the practice of Raja Yoga meditation at a young age as his parents were regular attendees of the Brahma Kumaris Centre in Leicester.  In 2016, he decided to become a Hatha Yoga teacher and trained in Rishikesh, India, making multiple visits to complete his training.  He has been teaching Hatha Yoga professionally since 2018.  Inspired by his joint yoga practice, Bhavesh enjoys writing poetry and has published a series of three books in 2023, entitled 'Oceans of Love'.

Speaker: Maria Moreno is Emeritus Professor in Organization Behavior at the University of Valencia, with a long experience in researching and lecturing on this matter. She has been a Raja Yoga practitioner and lecturer with Brahma Kumaris for 33 years and coordinates the BK center in Valencia. She is also part of the National Coordinators Team in Spain.. Maria is a member of the BK Council of National Coordinators Secretariat and is currently very active in the organization of international BK programs, training and retreats.
