Caitlin Marquis of Advanced Energy United joins this episode of the Squeaky Clean Energy Podcast to share the details of FERC Order 2023 and how it sets out to untangle the backlog of renewable projects in interconnection queues. Specifically, we talk about how the order outlines a new ‘cluster study’ approach to speed up studying grid impacts for proposed projects. Episode 97: FERC Sets Out to Fix the Interconnection Backlog

In this week’s episode, host Daniel Raimi talks with Will Gorman, a research scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, about the interconnection queue. The interconnection queue is the waiting list for developers that hope to connect power plants to the electric grid; regulators must first study the potential effects of connecting a plant to the grid before moving forward with a project. Gorman discusses the reasons for recent growth in queue wait times, the costs that are associated with connecting a new power plant to the grid, a new federal regulation that aims to improve the interconnection queue, and additional reforms that could speed up the process of connecting new power plants to the grid.

What has been coming up in my mind lately are the Buddhist teachings on non-self and signlessness. Across all areas of life, it seems the world right now is overly identified with names, labels, identifications, getting caught in signs. Of course, the problem in identifying ourselves as this or that, or not this or not that, is that there will inevitably be greater division and discord. It sets up factions, feelings of belonging and not belonging; it creates feelings of separation. The harm comes when we start to believe that we are separate. This talk includes excerpts from Thich Nhat Hanh's, The Heart of The Buddha's Teachings.

In this episode of WE Earth Radio, Michael shares a recording of a  talk he recently offered, 'Why Can't We Just Get Along: How to Reconnect When Soul Loss Keeps Us Separate", during the recent 2023 Shamanic Wisdom Summit on The Shift Network.     

Throughout time, shamanic practitioners have performed journeys and ceremonies that guide us to use the portal of our dreams to activate healings on multiple levels, including resolving generational trauma and tapping into the healing power of nature to access the deep wisdom of our ancestral heritage.

Michael Stone is a spiritual author, mentor, shamanic practitioner, radio host, producer, and trauma integration facilitator who co-creates individual and group environments and experiences that support people in transcending the myth of separation to experience deep and profound interconnection with others and all of life. He has been teaching and leading embodied experiential events, classes, teleseminars, and workshops on organizational development, embodied shamanism, moving meditation, personal growth, and spiritual fulfillment for over 50 years.
