On this epsidoe we'll be talking about fading and its importance with Tier 2 interventions. Have you ever considered this topic before? Perhaps not as this topic is often overlooked or may be considered late in the game when others implement interventions. Fading is a critical part of any intervention and staff and/or teams who implement interventions need to have an understanding on this topic. La modélisation, voilà une discipline peu connue et pourtant en essor depuis la pandémie de Covid-19, qui a fait émerger le besoin d'anticiper l'impact de différents scénarios de propagation de la maladie pour adopter les meilleures réponses. Emilie Pothin, modélisatrice de maladies infectieuses au Swiss TPH et à la Clinton Health Access Initiative, revient sur les forces de cet outil de priorisation – aussi levier de plaidoyer – qui intègre les conséquences du changement climatique pour maximiser l'efficacité des stratégies de lutte contre le paludisme.


Emilie Pothin dirige le groupe d’analyse et de modélisation des interventions au Swiss TPH. Experte en modélisation mathématique et en épidémiologie du paludisme, ses recherches intègrent des méthodes mathématiques et statistiques pour simuler la dynamique de la transmission, estimer l’impact des interventions contre le paludisme et tirer parti de ces connaissances pour améliorer les efforts de contrôle et d’élimination du paludisme. Avec son affiliation avec la Clinton Health Initiative, elle contribue au renforcement des capacités de modélisation des pays endémiques, via un soutien aux PNLP et décideurs politiques.
