We continue our exploration of VOL I, the debut compilation from 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀, a label using underground electronic music as a vehicle for solidarity. This powerful 33-track release unites artists from across the globe in support of families displaced by war in Lebanon, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Beirut Synth Center, who offer hands-on relief on the ground.

Today’s premiere features 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘀, one of the most active names in the French electronic scene and one of its most prolific voices. Known for his fluid blend of classic house textures and rave era energy, he brings a slightly different shade to the compilation with "𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵", a track that leans into the deeper ends of his sound palette. 

A slow burning groove forms the backbone, layered with dubby stabs and subtly warped pads. While there’s a hint of brightness in the synth work, the track leans into shadowy tones evoking a kind of hypnotic rush that draws the listener inward, but still dancefloor focused, suitable when energy shifts and attention sharpens.

Amid an amusingly paranoid reaction from the MAGA right, Donald Trump is threatening to have Zohran Mamdani denaturalized and deported under the archaic Cold War-era Communist Control Act if he continues with New York's "sanctuary city" policy as mayor. A Justice Department memo has already set the machinery for "denaturalization" of citizens in motion. But the Islamophobic, xenophobic and old-school Red Scare backlash to Mamdani's political rise could provide the breaking point in which localities coast-to-coast refuse to cooperate with Trump's fascist agenda—vindicating Murray Bookchin's theories of radical municipalism. Zohran Mamdani and municipal resistance

We close our journey through the debut compilation from 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 who's using underground electronic music to support humanitarian causes. Bringing together 33 artists in solidarity with displaced families in Lebanon, the project channels 100% of its proceeds through Beirut Synth Center to provide direct aid on the ground.

Our final spotlight lands on 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗮, the Montreal based producer known for her genre defiant club experiments and instinct for emotional contrast. Her contribution “Asexual Horndog” is a wild, heady cut that blends stylized mischief flair with moody rave mystique. Breaky drums, loopy vocals, and a quirky groove swirl into a trippy dancefloor spell. Playful on the surface, but loaded with tension underneath.

Like thieves shunning the scene of their crime, media and politicians are suddenly scrambling to distance themselves from Israel. With popular outrage continuing to grow, and the war to crush all middle-eastern resistance movements failing, the imperialists are desperately seeking a way out that might allow them to retain their regional domination – ideally by somehow keeping Israel itself alive.
Editors’ note: Since this article was written, the imperialists have launched a criminal, unprovoked, aggressive war against Iran. In this context, there has been a rush to whitewash Israeli crimes, to bury once again the truth about the Gaza genocide, and to present the zionist leaders as rational and principled actors. How long this narrative can be sustained in the face of reality remains to be seen.

British workers must resolutely oppose the imperialist Labour party, which is complicit in, and the active perpetrator of, the Palestinian genocide.
Weighing just 2kg, the photograph of emaciated five-month-old Siwar Ashour is the latest image to horrify workers all over the world, as Israel continues to use mass starvation as a means of warfare against civilians. And if anyone was in any doubt about the deep complicity of the entire British political and media establishment, recent analysis suggests that the current ‘Labour’ government granted more weapons licenses to Israel in a three-month period last year than the previous Conservative government did over four years.
