Pour l’épisode 37, j’accueille Elliot Moriarty, l’une des étoiles montantes de la scène Electronic Dance Music. Passionné depuis l’enfance, il commence à explorer la musique dès l’âge de 11 ans, influencé par des figures comme Sasha, Nick Warren et Anthony Pappa. Au fil des années, cette passion s’est transformée en une véritable quête artistique.

D’abord en remixant des morceaux qu’il admirait, il finit par produire ses propres tracks. Son premier single, Elixir, sorti sur Seamless Recordings, a marqué les esprits avec ses neuf minutes d’euphorie sonore, atteignant la 3e place des meilleures sorties du label sur Beatport. Aujourd’hui, Elliot Moriarty continue d’affiner son son et de repousser les frontières de la musique électronique.

I was actually auditioning for the Baker, but I had been practicing songs for the Princes and Jack too.

Movin' On My Own

Pour l’épisode 38, je reçois Luisa Rossini, alias NoN project, une artiste aux multiples facettes : DJ, chanteuse, multi-instrumentiste et productrice. Née à Rome et aujourd'hui installée entre Barcelone et Lisbonne, elle a d'abord été initiée au jazz par son père avant de faire évoluer son univers vers une musique électronique éclectique et électrique.

À travers le projet NoN, elle façonne des compositions mêlant voix, guitare électrique, eBow et synthétiseurs, explorant des styles allant du downtempo au progressive house, en passant par le trip-hop, le breakbeat et le nu-jazz. Chaque morceau est une véritable bande-son immersive, invitant à un voyage intime et onirique dans des paysages sonores en perpétuelle évolution.

Sam Albasini or widely known as Aston Alba started making and producing his music around at the age of 14 when he first discovered Techno. Just as soon as he was grasped by the emotional side that this sub-core of dance/electronic music has, he found his calling in this very musical lane to mark his own stamp on the international scene.
The Switzerland-based DJ/Producer takes everything—every sorrow and melancholy—within and surrounding him into the process of creating his distinctive sound which brings the listeners to the more grand, cinematic feeling that is rarely heard in mostly Techno numbers.  Unlike the others—Aston Alba is more than just loops of cuts and samples, but rather he does not let any emotional gap occur in his track as he carefully creates an array of rich detailed instrumental sounding by fusing the essential elements of Techno with both Middle Eastern sounds and dissonant Esoteric beats and instrumentations which resulted into such hypnotizing ambient textured touch in each of his tracks to match the kind of emotion that he would like to convey through. His catalogues to date—from the EP “The Crow” and “Amon-Rê” (2018) to “Mesopotamia” and “Anubis” (2020)—offer you such diverse moving soundscapes in which either the euphoric or the slow-driven ones have the same slow-built hypnotic quality that will find you losing yourself, floating through your own singular journey throughout the music. Aston Alba indeed has the ear to create sounds that are precisely needed to express himself until the cadence of Aston Alba’s music effortlessly shines through in his every releases.
