In a noisy, rushed, and distracted world, this message invites us to pause and ask a simple but life-shaping question: Who are we listening to?

Advent isn’t just about looking back to the birth of Jesus — it’s about resetting our hearts in the present and renewing our hope for His return. In this talk, we explore why Jesus is our Wonderful Counsellor, how His wisdom goes beyond all human wisdom, and how we can make space in this season to stop, look, and listen for His voice.

CHRISTMAS CLASSICS - WEEK 1 - ISAIAH GOD'S MAN

Let there be no mistake, we, all of us, stand on the threshold of God’s kingdom. We never really know from moment to moment when an opportunity will come our way. It’s a mystery, but that’s where the real power lays. The Lord is always out in front of us. God’s futures approaches us, God’s future in which we will all be made new. 

We wait with hope by lighting whatever little lights we can, for no light is too small in this ever darkening world.

The Hope of Christmas in Isaiah 11

Description:
In this Christmas message from Isaiah 11, we look at how real hope begins with acknowledging our need. Isaiah describes Israel’s royal line as a stump, cut down because of sin. Before anyone could embrace God’s promise of renewal, they had to accept the reality of their situation. The gospel works the same way today: we must recognize our hopelessness before we receive the hope Christ offers. Christmas reminds us that God brings new life where everything seems dead.
