Release number 43 is from talented Ishan (SL) from Sri Lanka. Ishan was our guest on our podcast series Big Bells & Friends and now he deceide to join our label with this fantastic EP.

Ishan (SL) gained his first residency at RIU Hotels and Resorts, Sri Lanka. This was an education as it was a commercial residency where he had to focus mainly on playing hip hop and R&B for the tourists, however, in the meantime, he still got opportunities to play what he loved playing the most, and that was purely underground music. Then he moved to the tropical paradise, Maldives, and worked as a Resident DJ there for more than two years. Now, he is the Resident DJ of our biggest event planner in Sri Lanka, La Foresta, and he has shared decks with international artists such as Armen Miran, Roy Rosenfeld, DJ Ruby, Aaron Suiss, Inna Ra, and Carolina Martinez.

Ishan's EP "Serendipity" is coming with two wonderful remixes from Lucio Gastaldo and Mati Vaira. Both producers are from Argentina and they gave us special Argentinian progressive house touch to this song. Luci Gastaldo already had one EP last year on our label and this will be his first remix duty. Mati Vaira will have his debut on Big Bells Records and he has a very long list of great releases. He released his music on labels such are Mango Alley, One Of A Kind, 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection South America, and many others.

Bangalore's Ishan Gaur aka I7HVN says he wants to play his Wild City mix "in an intimate, dark room". That is rather an apt aim for the abstract works he stitches together on the nearly hour-long mix as a soft pulse underpins a parade of elements that seem to appear out of nowhere, devoid of predictability for most parts. It's a mix that carries the qualities found in the whole of I7HVN's artistic voice – with his latest release, the 6-track EP 'Innate Needs', featuring similar unpredictability though with more hard-hitting grooves underscoring them. 

Not quite ambient, though it practices a similar restraint, as it rewards giving attention to its surprising minute details, the mix comes off as a seamless extended composition even as it moves from deep-cut artists from foreign shores to Indian contemporaries of I7HVN like Yidam, Innerworld and Mythopoet alongside the producer's own work.

I was born, grew up and still living in Valencia, a city next to the Mediterranean in Spain. Its light, heat and its sea have permeated my skin since ever. Before learning to read I liked to play melodies with my toy piano or my guitar. I grew up in the 80's in love with the new age of music. First with bands like Pink Floyd, ELO, Bauhaus, Joy Division. After I was witness of the newborn electronic music explosion, the arrival of the synthesizers, enjoying with Jean Michel Jarre, New Order, Depeche Mode, Visage. From other bands like The Cure, Simple Minds, The Smiths, and so many others. And more underground music like Ann Clark, Propaganda, that starting German techno that was breaking through and fascinated me. But I have never stayed in a epoch. Each new decade has given me new proposals, some darker years but others full of fresh ideas. No time was better. That's my motto. I still enjoy more every day. Now, I feel very influenced by the melodic techno and progressive. People like Jeremy Olander, Cid Inc, Khen, Guy J, Cristoph, Dmitry Molosh ... and more. 

Therefore, one day, a few years ago, I decided that it was time to be part of this fantastic world that is the music. Technology has advanced enough to allow a passionate about non-professional musician will take all his creativity outside. And here I am. My city has a peculiar philosophy, different from other Spain cities. When winter ends, people burns everything old and explodes between fire and noise, color, music and flowers, reborning in a new spring. The essence of fire, the rebirth of the ashes like a Phoenix carried it in my blood. And all of it permeates my work. Make me who I am. And it enlightens me in this new way of my life. Music is the answer.

Por eso, un día hace algunos años decidí que era el momento de formar parte de este mundo fantástico que es la música. La tecnología avanzó lo suficiente como para permitir que un apasionado de la música no profesional sacara de su interior toda su creatividad. Y aquí estoy. Mi ciudad tiene una filosofía peculiar, diferente al resto de ciudades de España. Cuando acaba el invierno quema todo lo viejo y explota entre fuego y estruendos, color y flores, para renacer en una nueva primavera. La esencia del fuego, el renacer de las cenizas como un ave Fénix lo llevo en la sangre. Y todo ello impregna mi trabajo. Me hace ser lo que soy. Y me ilumina en este nuevo camino de la vida. La música es la respuesta.

Ik zou VCV laten schieten omdat je TOTAAL niet ervan op aan kan dat ie wel de hele tijd hetzelfde resultaat geeft (heeft denk ik met velocity te maken). Dus wat je doet is je gebruikt SYTRUS en als je het volume omlaag wilt brengen moet je SET gebruiken ipv VOLUME AAN DE ACHTERKANT want je moet zeker weten dat de VELOCITY het TIMBRE niet beinvloedt!!!!

Die oneindig oscillatoren kunnen btw alsnog in Sytrus :) WAT IK WEL HEB GELEERDDDD… ISSSSS…::: VOOR ELKE MODULE DIE JE MAAKT OOK EXACT EEN OMGEKEERDE DOEN… Want dan weet je zeker dat je alle routings bent afgegaan…….. Want als je ECHT GOUDEERLIJK BENT WEET JE DE JUISTE ROUTING HELEMAAL NIET!!!!!111!!!!11!!!!! Geloof je me niet??? Kloot maar eens met een hele dunne crispy sound in Sytrus, ik zweer er namelijk op dat dan de routing ineens HEEEEEL anders lijkt. Dus… TOEGEVEN DAT JE DIT NIET WEET!!!!!11																																																																En ook zoveel mogelijk opties uitproberen; het kan namelijk zijn dat de eerste geluiden met elkaar botsen i.p.v. alleen de laatste. Whereas als -ie TE zacht is, krijg je weer een soft nummer…. Ook niet echt de bedoeling….. Dussssss…. Ik zou buiten omkeren ook zoveel mogelijk opties uittesten. 																																																		!!!Alle Volume Amounts Gelijk Maken Aan Elkaar!!! <— voor de zekerheid, dat het timbre toch niet verandert op de 1 of andere manier!!!								^ Als je klikt op “set” dan kun je het aantal procent zien, dus het aantal procent moet aan elkaar gelijk zijn!!! ^
