Hey, all!  It's been a couple of years since my last upload, heh.  Time goes quickly.  I've been intending to get around to uploading here some, but I've been holding back from sharing this stuff, always fearing I could do better.  But then it just sits, so I'm trying to muster up the bravery to share more.

This is a vocal cover of the acoustic version of Sonic's theme, "It Doesn't Matter", from Sonic and the Black Knight!  It is used in the fanart showcase of the game's gallery.   I discovered once years ago that Sonic and the Black Knight had an acoustic/violin cover of Sonic's themesong, "It Doesn't Matter" from the Adventure games, and I always thought it was really nice.  I have always enjoyed nice violin stuff like this, and found it a touching little reflection of Sonic's character.  In more recent times, whenever I'd listen to it, I found myself humming and singing along to it.  I kinda liked it, so I decided to try recording it as an actual cover.  As a longtime Sonic fan since I was little, it's nice to do some attempts at Sonic songs.

I apparently started working on this at the beginning of last year, in 2023, it seems.  But I've been working on trying to master it better since then even this year. 

I wasn't sure what to do with this one for a while because I originally was just going to have solo vocals for this, as I thought it sounded nice that way.  But, somewhere along the way, I tried adding in some backing vocals to see how they'd sound and wasn't sure what to do.  Sometimes I think solo vocals sound nice, more impactful and meaningful, depending, especially for more simplistic stuff like this, so I tried to keep them toned down.  Also, I can tell they weren't perfect, so that's another reason I didn't want them to be so up-front.

Again, I am an amateur at this stuff, including the mixing, so it's not perfect.  I don't think I'm really gonna change this much more unless I add in some new backing vocals, or maybe decide to only keep the solo ones after all, maybe try fixing one little mistake I hear, but I don't really think people will notice much....  I messed around quite a bit with trying to get everything to sound properly mixed, so I think it's probably okay enough now.

It Doesn't Matter - Acoustic Vocal Cover

Hi!  My name is Kyla!  I am a Bible-believing follower of the Lord Jesus Christ first and foremost!  I'm an amateur who's been voice-acting and singing for my own amusement in private for over ten years, aside from singing in church and singing at some family parties a few times during my childhood, and have always been extremely shy about letting anyone hear it.  Acting is a huge drive of inspiration for all my stories as I tend to make up dialogue and ideas on a whim in my own time.  I like to do a lot of character voice impressions, as well as act some of my own characters.

    After getting my first microphone around 2017-18, I started dabbling in Audacity and began trying to put stuff to recording.   Though I am not a professional by any means, I'm trying to put my vocal abilities out there after years of keeping it to myself, learning and toning my recording/editing skills in hope that they touch someone out there with God's love in the tough world we live in.   Since first starting, I feel I have already made a difference of improvement between some of my older recordings to newer ones, and I'm still learning.  I may still upload some older ones in spite the lesser quality and/or mistakes I hear, but hopefully I'll re-record more of them in time.

    Though I am female, my range can go from pitchy, kiddy female vocals, to some degree of deep, serious male ones.  I also love music and like attempting to do covers of anime songs, and have an aim to try some worship songs as well (worship is what started me singing since day one, after all!).

    Acting and singing is just a couple of hobbies I have on the side, among others.  I also am an artist and drawing is the main skill I work on.  You can check out my work on DeviantArt and Twitter listed below.
