Mike Madaio: “As I’ve come along in my career as a food and wine writer, I think that so many of the most compelling stories are human stories, so when I interview an Italian wine maker to talk about his or her wine I want to understand who that person is, what motivates them, what struggles they’ve had. All those things make the story more compelling than just saying ‘here’s a wine that tastes like this or here’s a sandwich that tastes like that’, so I’m glad that came across.”

Mattia Montanari started producing wine 23 years ago in 2002. He is a first generation winemaker,  even though he actually studied and graduated in economics. by which he was moved, captivated, touched to the depths of his being
He often says that it wasn't he who got into music in the first place
But that it was music that came to him...
