Names Kubota, nice to meet you. Pronounced coo (as in “a baby coos”), bow (as in “tying a bow”), tah (as in the first half of “tada!”)

Hailing from the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Kubota is a Japanese-American musician known for his unique blend of Alternative and Lo-fi Hip-Hop. With over 15 years of musical exploration spanning various genres, he has meticulously crafted a style that is distinctly his own.

His journey into the realm of music commenced at the tender age of 5 when he first experimented with the piano. However, it was the introduction to the guitar by his father that ignited his deep passion for music.

As the years unfolded, Kubota honed his instrumental and compositional skills, crafting his original compositions even during his elementary school years. His musical evolution continued through middle and high school, where he contributed to a metal band, gracing renowned venues and music festivals. When the band disbanded, Kubota ventured into producing and rapping over his own beats, laying the foundation for his present-day musical career.

Kubota's artistic development persisted, culminating in his signing with Pacific Records in 2020, eventually leading to his complete independence in 2022.

Today, Kubota boasts a devoted fan base, an expanding discography, and the establishment of his merch aided by the viral success of videos teaching unconventional Japanese vocabulary.
