Laid over it: a quiet call from Shabaka and the Ancestors (You’ve Been Called, 2020). Jazz signals from another dimension. A soft urgency that lingers.

JessyJiggy is a Rotterdam-based musician, founder of At The Intersection Records, and co-host of the UK-based radio show Resonate on Subtle Radio.

His work explores the intersection of sound, emotion and technology, combining cinematic-surrealist instincts with precise, structured experimentation. His style spans minimal techno, garage and deep house, breaks and downtempo, shaped by phonographic textures, immersive sound design and spectral melodies.

Through both DJ sets and productions, JessyJiggy creates layered sonic environments that blur genre boundaries and rethink narrative in electronic music. Working with both digital and analog tools, his approach maintains a forward-facing energy suited to both club systems and focused listening. The ultimate system ignited by self-expression.

I am an ex-scientist, a poet and musician, usually working solo, but with the occasional collaboration (for instance with Oberdada).  I play all the instruments myself except for kit drums - no room for them in our appartment.  It's all low-budget, but I have some nice guitars that I have fixed up to play well.  And a beaten-up Mesa Boogie amp. Mission statement is now "try to be original and experimental while staying accessible to a listener".
