He just last month released a 16-song children’s album, which includes three interactive bonus tracks.  He is a record producer, film and TV composer, songwriter, arranger, musical director, and bandleader who splits his time between Music City and Los Angeles.  On Spotify alone he has well over 213 thousand monthly listeners and his top five tracks on there have gotten a combined total of over 41 MILLION streams.  Last year he produced a four-song EP for the legendary Johnny Mathis, who he has done work with in the past.  In 2022 he also worked with Jackie Evancho and the record label he had then released her full-length album.  He was previously a guest on this show in December 2021 on Episode 412. It Came Upon A Midnight Cher (Twisted Christmas 2023)

"When Sunny Gets Blue" is a song written by Marvin Fisher (music) and Jack Segal (lyrics), which has become a jazz standard. The song was originally recorded in September 1956 by Johnny Mathis backed by Ray Conniff and his Orchestra, released in February 1957 as the B-side of Mathis's debut single "Wonderful! Wonderful!". The song was included on the compilation album Johnny's Greatest Hits, released in April 1958. The album was a smash hit, staying on the Billboard pop chart for 490 weeks, including 3 weeks at number 1, and 57 weeks in the Top Ten.[2]

The song was recorded in January 1957 by June Christy for her album Fair and Warmer!, released later that year. Pete Rugolo arranged and conducted for Christy. Around the same time, Nat King Cole recorded it for his album Love Is the Thing, with this rendition praised by music critic Will Friedwald as displaying Cole's "tenderness, compassion and empathy". Arranger Gordon Jenkins backed Cole.

Fred Mollin is a multi-faceted man of music. His love of music and appreciation for the artistic process led him to the world of producing and arranging music at a very early age at the lower end of the 1970s (producing Dan Hill's "Sometime When We Touch." From there, he's produced many notable names in music, scored Films and TV, and finally decided to chronicle his experiences in his memoir, "Unplugged."

La chanson a été composée par Michael Jackson et Paul Anka en 1983 et enregistrée uniquement sous forme de démo. La version de Johnny Mathis de 1984 est donc la première sortie de la chanson, bien qu'il s'agisse d'une reprise de Michael Jackson.
