This track is about humanity's yearning to discover its own cosmic origin story.

I was inspired by the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope in 2021, which was built to allow us to see and understand the very early universe. The countdown and audio is sampled from the NASA TV commentary of the launch in 2021, from a spaceport on the edge of the Amazon rainforest. I think the narrator's line "From a tropical rainforest to the edge of time itself" is absolutely brilliant.

This musical voyage also features the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic, an Islamic call to prayer and chanting from Ramana Maharshi's ashram in India.

This is my first ever track, produced on Ableton Live.

Back to the Birth of the Universe

In our first segment, we delve into the formidable challenges of colonizing Mars, from harsh environmental conditions to life-support systems, and discuss innovative solutions being developed to overcome these obstacles. Discover how scientists and engineers are planning to make the Red Planet habitable for future generations.


In the second segment, we shift our focus to the characterization of exoplanets and the significance of discovering the first exoplanet orbiting a sun-like star. Learn how these far-off worlds are studied and what they reveal about the potential for life beyond our solar system.


Our third segment highlights the James Webb Space Telescope's (JWST) first discoveries. Explore how this cutting-edge telescope is transforming our understanding of the universe, from uncovering the secrets of distant galaxies to revealing the atmospheric compositions of exoplanets.


Finally, we provide an update on NASA's Artemis program, aiming to return astronauts to the lunar surface by 2025. Discover the goals and objectives of this ambitious mission and how it sets the stage for future exploration efforts beyond the Moon.

Rho Ophiuchi Composite (Chandra/Webb composite)
This is a composite image from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and the James Webb Space Telescope. Pictured is Rho Ophiuchi, at a distance of about 390 light-years from Earth. Rho Ophiuchi is a cloud complex filled with gas and stars of different sizes and ages. Being one of the closest star-forming regions, Rho Ophiuchi is a great place for astronomers to study young stars. In this image, X-rays from Chandra are purple and reveal the hot, outer atmospheres of infant stars. Infrared data from Webb's NIRCam is red, yellow, cyan, light blue, and darker blue and provides views of the spectacular regions of gas and dust.
