Short remix of Champagne Shit/Black Sugar Beach for all my Janelle Monáe girlies 😘✨🌈. I thought this song needed a little more cunt in terms of beat so you're welcome.

Champagne Shit (LCL GRL Remix)

Perfect for fans of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars and “Glitter Fonk” by Dabeull, this 80-inspired bop flips the nu-funk genre on its head with radically queer lyrics that detail the origin story of Weaux’s unique persona.

Lyrics:
Who is We-aux
It’s Weaux, bitch

Badababa
Babadabadaba
Badababa badababa
Babadabada badababa

I’m queer as funk so here’s some queer ass funk
It’s the stankiest groove that’s ever stunk
I’m young and hung and I’m 6’1”
And my aesthetic is the definition of queer ass fun
I’m known as Weaux all over NYC
And you might’ve heard my album called Weaux Is Me
But no matter who I be

I’m still Wayne C Babineaux
Otherwise known as Weaux
Wayne C Babineaux
Baby don’t ya know
Wayne C Babineaux
Otherwise known as Weaux
Wayne C Babineaux
Totally queer as funk

Can I get a W-E-A-U-X

So much drip I gotta oily neck
So much drip I gotta oily neck
So much drip I gotta oily neck
So much drip I gotta oily neck

I’m a one man band with only two hands
From Humble Texas, but I love to brag
I’ve been from Lil York to New York to Old York then back again
Houston to LA, Jimenez and back again
Natchitoches to Shreveport, Togo then back again
Bushwick to Crown Heights to Broadway and back again
But no matter where I go

I’m still Wayne C Babineaux
Otherwise known as Weaux
Wayne C Babineaux
Baby don’t ya know
Wayne C Babineaux
A true original
Wayne C Babineaux
Unforgettable

Can I get a W-E-A-U-X

Y’all betta dance

Taking it back to the 80’s
Taking it back to the 70’s
Taking it back to the 60’s
‘Cause we’ve been here the whole damn time
Prince is a big influence on me
James Brown shoulda known me
MJ tried to look like this but he went too far and missed
And who could forget about Stevie Wonder

I’m still Wayne C Babineaux
Otherwise known as Weaux
Wayne C Babineaux
Baby don’t ya know
Ohh Wayne C Babineaux
Never messin’ up the flow
Wayne C Babineaux
‘Bouta be crowned the GOAT

Badababa

Neal Pogue on working with Janelle Monáe, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj + WTF moments with Stevie Wonder

Janelle Monae's Age Of Pleasure Album is still very criminally underrated for mine, I always finding myself going back to its encaptivating energy and soundscape but I had to try flip lipstick lover and take it out of its dub roots and give it a new energy over Baby Keem's "Good Flirts" and gave it a whole new style to one of my already favourite records to play out... let me know if you fw it... Some moments in time where I can look back one day and say I did some cool shit!
Thanks to all the many people I crossed paths with along the way. Appreciate you being part of my journey in this thing we call life ❤️

Ps. Old mixtapes were taken down. These are all I have left.

Cool convos with cool people... Thanks for listening!

Weaux (pronounced “Woah!”) is a queer popstar, singer, songwriter, and producer making “dance pop for drama kids”.

This year, his new EP “FUTURE VU” takes his music in an exciting new direction with heavy, robotic beats and shimmering synths for a sound that is danceable yet dark and dramatic.

As a performer, he has built a cult following with live shows at venues like Madame Siam and Zero Lounge in LA, the Human Dignity Foundation in San Diego, The Delancey and Brooklyn Music Kitchen in NYC, and AvantGarden in Houston.

His mission is to make the world a more accepting and inclusive place for everyone.
