		Del resto, non mi aspettavo che potesse interessarti, per dire, che sono nato a Milano nel lontano 1969. Nè che abbia mosso i miei primi tasti da bambino sul vecchio pianoforte a muro di mio padre - poeta e musicista d'animo profondo e sensibile.
		 
		Propongo una spiegazione e sollevo un problema.
		La prima è che il conoscitore non può essere conosciuto. Il secondo è che siamo convinti di essere qualcosa che non siamo. Se esiste la possibilità che ciò che affermo sia fondato, ogni altro problema dovrebbe essere accantonato fino alla soluzione di questo, che sarebbe alla base di tutti i problemi.
		 
		Davvero avresti preferito che ti raccontassi di quella volta che Bruno, il mio compagno delle elementari, si presentò col fratellastro Giovanni, armati di chitarre, e contro il mio esplicito volere, a gettare il seme di quello che divennero gli Aries e il mio futuro di musicista?
		 
		Cos'è un ricordo, se non una immagine percepita sempre e solo nel momento presente, che incidentalemte è anche l'unico che sia mai esistito e mai esisterà? Vedi come ciò che crediamo di essere sia una nebulosa formazione mentale pensata sempre e solo adesso?
		 
		E dunque lascia un po' il tempo che trova. È una storia sbiadita.
		Dal primo sintetizzatore, regalatomi dai miei genitori, le notti passate in compagnia di filtri e oscillatori, ai primi concerti nelle feste rionali.
		Ah, quanti fratelli incontrati lungo la via! La musica unisce, addirittura più di una buona birra.
		 
		L'illusione della continuità ricorda l'effetto di movimento creato dal salire e scendere delle onde.
		Non voglio posticipare ulteriormente una domanda cruciale. Chi o cosa, osserva questo movimento apparente? È una domanda strana, per molti versi. Non si aspetta una risposta. La risposta non c'è. È un invito a guardare. Adesso, direttamente.
		 
		Così, pur non sapendo chi sono, mi permetto di parlare di me e di te. E tu, a quanto pare, continui pure a leggere. Ma non ti racconterò di quando conobbi Mauro ai tempi dell'università, né delle multiformi stranezze che presero vita dall'ardire di due giovani esploratori.
		Mi rivedo affacciato al finestrino incantato allo scorrere del paesaggio. Resisterò alla tentazione di raccontarti ogni dettaglio che vedo passare, dove ogni paese è una serata, ogni casa una canzone, ogni stazione una band. E passano i Nemesis, passano i Café Noir, passa la produzione con la MAP, passano gli anni dell'oblio.
		 
		Irrilevanza è il verdetto finale che dovrebbe essere imputato alla nostra storia, così da poter distogliere lo sguardo dal finestrino. A piacimento. E a cuor leggero. Possibilmente prima che altra stazione non giunga. Perché, amico mio, lo stesso viaggiatore sul treno è lui stesso un personaggio, di una storia più ampia, alla quale le mie parole incerte riescono a stento ad ammiccare.
		 
		Corsi di piano jazz e di musicoterapia, un paio di colonne sonore, l'edizione con Soundiva, una sigla televisiva. L'insano tiro alla fune dell'ambizione e dello scoramento, ordito dal maligno organizzatore di eventi chiamato: controllo.
		 
		Ci si ferma a metà. Il che assomiglia a costruire una casa su un ponte.
		Subodorata l'inconstistenza e la transitorietà, passa un po' la voglia. E ci si rifugia.
		Per un po'.
		 
		Finché, con tempi e modi che ci oltrepassano, qualcosa.
		Scendi dal palco e ti metti a sedere. Ma tu sei ancora lì. O, meglio, l'attore che credevi di essere è ancora lì. E continua a fare la sua parte. E la fa meglio, a dire il vero, giacché hai smesso di disturbarlo.
		Qualcuno fischierà. E non sarà un problema.
		Qualcuno applaudirà. Ma non sarà un successo.
		 
		Riecco, dunque, l'antica voce sussurrarmi le sue canzoni.
		Le vecchie dita ancora sfiorare i tasti.
		A te, che ascolti questa storia non-storia, possa giungere la pace che deriva dal non volere nulla, nella quale paradossalmente tutto viene fatto.
		 
		Non so chi sono. Non lo voglio sapere.
		Nemmeno tu.
