One Trick Pony - this version is about my struggle to learn Music Theory and how to apply it in my own songs. It only took me 4 semesters of Modern Harmony classes at Rancho Santiago College, and two years of weekly private lessons at $45/lesson, with a music theory expert and Grove School of Music graduate. When it finally clicked, it changed my songwriting world. I can now write songs in any style and have a big palette of devices like secondary dominants, altered chords and borrowed chords, modes, etc.

We say  Merry Christmas

This piece of melodic instrumental jazz/rock, features alto and tenor saxes, and an improvised guitar solo. 
After a short keyboard introduction, the main tune is played on alternating alto and tenor saxes. This  is followed by an improvised guitar solo, using the same chord sequence.
Overall, a very melodic and rhythmic piece.
Composed and recorded October 2025.

I'm a songwriter and musician, have played in bands, play mostly guitar, and a bit of keyboards, but my primary passion is writing songs--creating cool songs that people can relate to. 

I like to write songs that have meaning and emotional impact, but try to also include some humor in them to make it not so serious and heavy.

I am a Boston, MA-based jazz/rock keyboardist and bassist with a passion for creating rich, layered cover song recordings in my home studio.

In my recordings, I bring every part of a song to life, performing all keyboard lines, strings, pads, marimba, glockenspiel, and celesta, while also laying down the bass on many of my tracks. By blending technical precision with multi-instrumental creativity, I reinterpret cover tunes in fresh, expressive ways, giving each song a unique voice. 

Whether exploring intricate jazz harmonies or driving rock grooves, my goal is to create rich, layered performances that capture the spirit of the originals while showcasing my own musical vision.
