The single is the group's best-known hit, reaching number three on the Billboard R&B chart and number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The gospel-influenced track was a Curtis Mayfield composition that displayed the growing sense of social and political awareness in his writing.
Various artists have covered the song, including Bob Marley and the Wailers in 1965 and 1977, the Chambers Brothers in 1968, Bob Dylan in 1975, and Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck in 1985. Australian group Human Nature had a minor hit in Australia with their version in 1997."              Wikipedia

Gary Moore's voice on the guitar is definitely one that has seen a lot of heartache and to try and cover by him without understanding what heartache is, you will never be able to fully bring it to life. I can't ever claim to be in the same league as Gary as a guitarist or as a human, but I can say that his playing has touched me and has been part of the soundtrack to my life. Thank you, Gary.

I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and cannot remember a day of not either singing or listening to music. I am self-taught when it comes to playing guitar but what I most enjoy is singing which I have been doing since around age 18. Now retired singing and playing the guitar is now just a hobby and something I do to help pass the time. Have always  loved the sound of a Martin guitar. My music has been all around the world: Nation wide US commercial for "The Simpsons" on FX. Hit songs in Japan, Taiwan, and Italy. 
I like to play all instruments myself, and I love emulating guitars, basses, violins, drums, brass, and wind instruments only using keyboard and virtual instrument collection.
