The Devil that Never Sleeps is a cinematically sonic look into the tortured soul of our anti-hero when he is at his most vulnerable, the lonely night. His demons come out to haunt him when the moon rises, but unwilling to change, he roams without slumber and begs for comfort and compassion from only thing he can. Rob Tobias is a singer/songwriter, audio-video producer, and interview host of the TRAIN OF THOUGHT podcast.   The podcast features talk on music and culture.  Rob Tobias and the Northwest Express play a blend of folk-pop, blues, reggae and jazz.

Jacques Mees was born in 1959 in Moergestel, The Netherlands.

 

The talented Americana musician and singer began playing guitar when he was around nine years old. After forming and playing in small local folk bands for a few years, he decided to pursue his career as a solo artist.

 

His love for folk, country and blues music has resulted in building up a repertoire of songs which he performs on thousands of stages around the world.

 

The songs you will hear on many of his albums are written by some of his mentors and heroes such as Bob Dylan, Townes van Zandt, John Prine and Guy Clark.
