Exclusive Mix for Boujee Beats Jan 2025

Tried a version of the Led Zeppelin classic, "Hey Hey What Can I Do". I tuned the acoustic guitar down a half step, as was done on the album. I also overdubbed bass and mandolin. Got a killer drummer WT to overdub drums. Fun first attempt.

Just rediscovered a version of "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin that I did with MK at Gramercy Studios. He came in and owned the song. He played acoustic guitar and did the main vocal. I played along with him on bass and then overdubbed mandolin.

I'm away from home on a vacation with my son. I brought a mandolin because it fits in the airplane overhead pretty easily. I decided to try "Ballad of Evermore" by Led Zeppelin for the first time. I played and sang the melody into the phone and then sang harmony. Very rough, but fun to try. It is hard to believe (but apparently true) that Jimmy Page made this up on the spot on John Paul Jones' mandolin that Page had never played before. One of the most iconic mandolin songs ever.

JIMMIE PAGE - ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 25TH ANNIVERSARY SET

Sou cantor, compositor, multi-instrumentista e ilustrador há mais de 15 anos.
Nasci na pacata cidade de Rio Pomba/MG, mas resido em Juiz de Fora há 10 anos.
Já passei por bandas de Rock como Alternativa Coma e A última Camada (Rio Pomba), já em Juiz de Fora formei a banda de Hard Rock Bad Bloxx ao lado de Victor Castro (guitarrista) e Glauber Carlos (guitarrista). 

Já prestei serviço pra outras bandas como da Sociedade Alemã de Juiz de Fora, Acoustic N' Roll e Rock in Trio. Formei um tributo a Led Zeppelin em 2014 com os músicos Tiago Salomão (Martiataka), Ruy Alhadas (Martiataka), Leandro Trombini (Só Parent, Acoustic N' Roll), Douglas Gomez (Tuka's Band, Acoustic N' Roll, Bad Bloxx)

 Em 2016 entrei para o projeto Eremita a convite de Douglas Domiciano (guitarrista e produtor) e lançamos na plataforma Spotify os singles "Eremita" e "Monarquia da Plata".
 Em 2017 iniciei carreira solo fazendo shows em bares no formato voz, violão, gaita e percussões como um homem banda. Em 2019 adaptei para a banda Henrique & Os Filhos convidando os músicos Douglas Domiciano (Eremita e Dunada), Ygor Mattos (Bad Bloxx, Dunada) e Raphael Andrade (Glitter Magic). No mesmo ano o cantor Rhee Charles me convidou para formar um Duo Acústico que chamamos de Rock 2U e estamos até então cumprindo agenda cheia (3 a 6 shows por semana)e produções independentes para YouTube e redes sociais.

Já em 2020 passei a trabalhar também como pequeno produtor áudio-visual, iniciando a banda Excêntrica com Ygor Mattos (baixo).
 Com a pandemia do novo Corona Virus, voltei a dar aulas de canto e técnica vocal através do projeto "Voz Ativa" e também realizando lives com artistas da voz de todo Brasil. Na estreia convidei o guitarrista Ricardo Palmeira que foi o responsável pelas guitarras do grande Cazuza em uma live especial ao poeta e cantor do Rock Nacional que tanto admiro e tenho como referência.

 Hoje, atuo como cantor, compositor, instrutor de canto e produtor musical independente e ilustrador através da micro empresa HF Ilustrações.

Com a HF Ilustrações, fui responsável pelas artes das redes sociais e de capa dos singles da banda Eremita, Henrique & Os Filhos, Arqueus (banda Juiz Forana) e atualmente a Excêntrica.

Chicago has been renowned for playing a major part of the birth of underground house music. Embarking on the scene, Jimmie landed rotating guest spots at arguably one of Chicago's first and best underground club SHELTER working with the legendary Chicago promoter Dave Medusa. Jimmie's unique sound of progressive & funky house music, aggression and deck skills, caught the attention of fellow peers. Soon after, the offers started coming in for residencies and guest spots. Jimmie played an integral part of the development of Chicago's progressive scene, which now trail blazes the city's nightlife. With a wave of nightclub openings in Chicago, Jimmie was the top contender to attain his first residency. This was the beginning of a trail for ensuing residencies and countless guest spots in Chicago and abroad. The Club history below says it all. 

In the Dj booth, Jimmie has hosted with the best Djs and Producers the world has to offer. Armin Van Buuren, , Mauro Picotto, Christopher Lawrence, Carl Cox, Chemical Brothers, Max Chapman are only a noted few from an immeasurable list. As the underground music grew, a new trend began. Dance music and mix shows were about to be introduced to the community. Energy's 92.7 & 5 became the catalyst to a full 24/7 dance music format. Jimmie landed one of the most coveted spots in Chicago that of a resident DJ on Chicago's premier dance radio station (WKIE Energy 92.7/5) where he hosted a five hour show called Clubland Friday Night. Jimmie was one of the first to showcase international Djs such as Fatboy Slim, Ferry Corsten, and Christopher Lawrence into a field traditionally held by local talent. Jimmie hasnt forgotten his roots nor his first beginnings. He often makes room for local peers to be a Guest Dj on his show as well. Cultivating an atmosphere of the best known up and coming Dj talent. With the end of an era approaching, Energys 4 year running couldn't handle the pop-culture craze. Somehow Jimmies show had survived. A short time after, Arizonas Dance Station Energy 92.7 & 101.1 had hired a new cutting edge Program Director-Mike Oaks. Immediately being embraced by Mike, Jimmies show had now moved to Phoenix. Taking notice of his resume, the Ultra team had signed him to perform at the Ultra Music Festival 7 in 2005. This accomplished a long time goal. 

With the continued success of his mix show, Jimmie was invited back to perform at Ultra 9. His dedication towards hard work, consistency and perfection was immediately recognized. Passion for his craft and music was an evident formula of the next chapter. The Ultra organization took notice and recruited Jimmie to become a candidate for the position of Host and PD of their upcoming radio show. Through an exhausting list of highly talented prospects, perseverance and devotion made the difference. Jimmie is now has become a huge part of the Ultra tradition as he just completed his 20th Year appearance at Ultra 2024 in Miami. Jimmie also hold a residency at the Infamous Dragon Room Chicago.
