This album is a follow-up album to my "What's Gonna Become of Us" by Wilfred Kozub project that I did in 2015. That one was an instrumental album, and it remains one of my very favourite works that I created. It is the only album of mine that I listen to regularly.

I wanted to do another instrumental album in the same vein. But a few new songs with lyrics came to me magically and mysteriously. I wasn't expecting that, but I liked them so much that I decided to change my plans and create a balance of those new vocal songs, some new instrumental tracks, and a couple others that I never really found a home for – until I finally decided to make them part of "The Last Vibrations of Summer".

I like this new album very much. As an album, it hangs together very smoothly. It is very satisfying for me, and I hope it will be for you, too.

Ruby asked me to write a jive song, so this track is my response to her request. She is the mother of four daughters whom she loves dearly. Ruby was a good artistic roller skater in her younger days before becoming an acclaimed coach of figure skating. She took two of her daughters to international competition. She was also well regarded throughout Australia as a teacher of ballroom and new vogue dancing. Severe back pain in later life has forced her to retire from the activities she loved so much.

I am a solo recording artist who produces his own original music in Tweed Heads West, NSW, Australia.
 
My songs are released under the band name Retrospection. The joy and satisfaction I get from making music and sharing it, is my reward, although I do like to receive some recognition for my efforts!

Back in December 1963, after graduating from high school in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, I formed the rock band The Avengers in which I played lead guitar and sang backing vocals. We were semi-professional, playing any or all of the nights from Friday through to Sunday.

After two years I had to leave the band to take up a teaching career. Throughout my life I kept up (unpaid) entertainment as extra-curricular activities in the various schools in which I worked.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to give live performances because of health problems.

Ok. Here is some info about me, Wilfred. Music is a big thing in my life . . . I’ve been tuning into radio since I was a little kid (on a crystal set – rocket radio!) and I grew up with access to a large record collection (vinyl and, later . . . everything else that followed).  I was lucky to be a teen during a very musically fertile time – when the Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and tonnes of other greats were creating fresh music for my fresh ears. To this day, I like it when an artist has his own sound but doesn't sound 'all the same' , , , and this is what I try to do.  Most of my own music is written for records by my group, Wilfred N & the Grown Men. I also love making experimental music.
