Diesen jungen Mann haben wir schon lange ins ♡ geschlossen. Mit dieser besonderen Episode bekommen wir mal wieder einen Mix, der es in sich hat. Ein cooler laidback Sound – ganz im Sinne eines entspannten, cozygeren, aber auch treibenden Jahresbeginns. Wir konnten es kaum erwarten, den Mix zu veröffentlichen und freuen uns sehr, 2023 damit einzuläuten. Also anschnallen, zurücklehnen und genießen. 🚀

The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. Pulli & Chomba are undoubtedly experts of Downtempo music. Their sound style is powerful, driving and melodic at the same time. They seem predestined to remix a master of his craft like Joe Carl. While staying true to the original, they add their own touch to this interpretation of „Days Are Gone“. The result is a harmonious mix that is a pleasure to listen to. Joe Carls remix of "Midnight Pathfinder" hits his style and our taste exactly. His interpretation introduces a different vibe compared to the original. After shining with individual tracks and remixes on our label in the past, it's now time for our buddy Joe Carl to release a complete EP with us.

His unmistakably slapping and pushing synth-heavy sound immediately catches the eye and once again forms the foundation of his two originals for this release. Equally impactful, the two remixers Katabtu and firewrks have imparted their personal touch to the tracks, smoothly rounding out the overall work.

As always, our pal Haunted Water took care of the mastering, and the artwork comes from the talented Kilian Van de Water. We hope you enjoy listening.
