We, like many of you, have a great many questions about medieval literature and why in the fuck, Dev Patel’s character does what he does in this story. The answers may frighten us, but we do come to some conclusions in this episode that are unlike anything else we’ve seen or read about this movie.

This is an Oscars Profile movie review episode on The Green Knight, which means we begin with a non-spoiler section to introduce the film, discuss our movie watching experiences, and give you our spoiler free reviews of the performances, production values, and yes, some overall thoughts on the story, which to be fair, are shorter thoughts than usual because we desperately need to get into spoilers on this one ASAFP.

So after minute 17, and our spoiler warning, we jump into a spoiler filled discussion on what in the actual fuck happened in The Green Knight, both in its literary and cinematic forms. Amanda helps us out in the former, and we wonder which version of the story would have better served the film. We also thoroughly breakdown the Dev Patel character, the baffling decisions made by and for him, and then dive into a what it all means conversation that gets down and dirty. In other words, this is most definitely a NSFW episode that you should keep from your kids until they are much much older.
