About him : "After highschool graduation, Johannes moved to Cologne to study jazz drums, where he also started deejaying, and quickly made a name for himself in the vivid house and techno scene of the city. Here he also founded the internationally acknowledged vinyl label "ancient future now" and was significantly involved in the development and opening of the by-now renowned Cologne club institution "JackWho", where he is a resident DJ and booking agent.
Besides all of those acitivities, Johannes also made a reputation as a top-notch drummer - with bands like the up-and-coming pop act VIMES or his own krautjazz band C.A.R. - as well as a sought after producer, for example trough his Latewood EP (2015), which attracted highest attraction in the international club scene, or a release on legendary Japanese label Mule Musiq in 2016. This led to a busy touring schedule as a DJ and drummer to places and clubs all around the world, be it in Germany, Europe, America or Asia.
Stylistically there has never been a point in Johannes' life, where you could have pinned him down to just one genre or musical direction. He is deeply convinced that the occasional thinking outside the box will help you create more exciting art. This is also reflected in his DJ sets, which can offer tasteful eclectic genre-hopping on the one day and straight consistent deepness on the other night."

A multitalented musician with roots in various genres, from jazz to rock, and a special affection for the trumpet, Paul Callens made his mark performing in diverse settings - jazz bands, philharmonic orchestras, rock bands, and electrifying Berlin nightclubs. An AI developer by day and co-founder of the DJ crew 'La Sacrée Déter' by night, he seamlessly blends his eclectic musical background with his electronic music endeavours.

He makes a perfect fit with the label Special place's quest to present an array of dance music that doesn't necessarily square down to boxes.

So expect an array of tracks that reflect Paul Callens's wide-ranging musical journey. The title track „Scream!“ goes in a darker and weirder direction, Johannes probably channeling his inner Kosi here with those tipsy cowbells and wonky sample pads flying around.

Johannes Klingebiel returns to Heimlich Musik for the 35th EP on the imprint titled 100 Mark containing two original mixes and a remix by Panthera Krause.

A few seconds into the title track’s original mix, Johannes Klingebiel's signature style becomes immediately apparent, floating between darkness and optimism. An interplay between driving basslines and playful synthesizers, constantly changing their appearance over time, creates a unique composition that stands out. Picking up a vintage vibe by using analog synthesizers and gloomy chords combined with a pinch of detune and crackle, It’s Over is a melancholic arrangement that creates a special kind of euphoria at the same time.

Panthera Krause adds some extra drama using an airy strings arrangement, building upon a foundation of Disco-infused drums in his captivating interpretation of 100 Mark rounding up the
EP as a whole.

Feines Tier veteran Johannes @klingebiel introduces @franz-matthews to the family and together they bring us “Ce Moment” EP, a basket of tunes full of colorful harmonies, bouncy grooves and poetic French lyrics. What more could one wish for?
The two producers and multi-instrumentalists met some years ago in their chosen
hometown Berlin and decided to fuse their producing and multi-instrumentalism game.
The first fruit of this labor was the much-loved and -played “Signs” on Heimlich records, now being followed by this EP here.
The title tune is an amalgamation of groovy electric bass riLs, spicy Prophet synth
sounds, melancholic vocals and certainly has something of that magic ingredient
people call the French Touch. A good tune to pick for House DJs who dig some Disco now and then and for Disco DJs in need of some solid House.
“La Traversée” is a crossing (multi-language pun intended) of bazillions of quirky synth sounds and melodies that somehow form a coherent whole, the sum of its part being a light and friendly but not cheesy house tune, that will make the sun go up on any dancefloor.
The mighty Kompakt overlord @michael-mayer-kompakt takes “Ce Moment” under his spell. The result is a grander and more mysterious aLair, made for bigger and darker dancefloors. The Sound of Cologne™ this is indeed!
Parisian up-and-comer @shimon-earthly adapts „La Traversée” into his sonic world. When Matthews and Shimon discussed the finished remix on the phone in French, all that le dilletant Johannes could understand from it were the words “très cool” and “after-hour vibe” , which… yes, completely tracks!
