En la medida que Killers of the Flower Moon va madurando dentro del espectador, horas, días y semanas tras haber visto la película, es inevitable que vayan apareciendo nuevas dimensiones, aspectos e ideas en torno a una obra que Scorsese y sus colaboradores parecen haber diseñado de manera tan directa y simple como compleja y omnicomprensiva. De ahí que los modos de acercarse al objeto sean múltiples: sea a partir de su dimensión artística, ética o cívico-política, está claro que se trata de un gesto mayor; uno creado para dar cuenta de crímenes que fueron resueltos hace un siglo, pero también de procesos aún en curso.  
No hay forma de esquivar el punto central: el genocidio Osage —ejecutado de forma tan calculada como casual, normalizado por la población que convivió con las víctimas así como por aquellos que consumieron los hechos vía la prensa o la industria del entretenimiento de ayer y de hoy— es algo que implica tanto a los hechores como a su público, todos cómplices en una rueda que gira, fragmentándose un poco más en cada vuelta y del cual esta película nos invita a ser testigos, pero también parte.

Viktorianskt recept på äggtoddy:
(Ursprungligen från Idaho Daily Statesman,  December 12, 1892, i nytryck i True West Magazine)

3 eggs, separated  
1 c. powdered sugar  
1 1/2 cups cream  
1 /4 tsp. nutmeg 
1 T. powdered sugar for egg whites 
1/8 c. Brandy & Rum  
1 cinnamon stick for grating  

Beat the egg yolks and sugar together in a bowl and set aside. Beat the egg whites  with 1 T. sugar until stiff peaks form and refrigerate. Heat the cream and nutmeg in a medium saucepan  over medium high heat and bring just to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and  gradually add hot cream into the egg and sugar mixture. Return everything to the pan and cook until  the mixture reaches 160°F. Remove from the heat and place in a bowl; set in the  refrigerator to chill. Fold the egg whites into the egg mixture and combine.  Serve with grated cinnamon and nutmeg.
