Directed by Danny Cannon, Judge Dredd is the science fiction action film based on the 2000 AD comics character of the same name.

Luke and [co-host] return to the crime-ridden future that is 2080, as depicted in 1995, for this Sylvester Stallone led movie.

In the crime-plagued future, the only thing standing between order and chaos is Judge Joseph Dredd (Sylvester Stallone). His duty: police the violent metropolitan sprawls that crowd the decaying earth, and kill criminals on the spot if necessary. The tables are turned, however, when maniacal ex-Judge Rico (Armand Assante) frames Dredd for murder.

Defund Judge Dredd! And top tips for 2000 AD newbies

"Citizens of Peach Trees. This is the S-law-ce." (no, I couldn't think of a better pun, don't @ me).

Nasty, unflinching, effective in its mission and cheap in its execution, the 2012 Dredd film is a fantastic slice of comic book adaptation done right. Judge Chris and Judge Dave analyse Alex Garland's take on the fascist law of Mega-City One, the way Karl Urban injects a shallow character with some growly coolness, and how it stacks compared to that 1990s Stallone joint. Also, remember when 3D movies were a thing? We do, and we wish we didn't.
