Revelation 20:13 tells us that every person will be judged according to their works. But doesn’t that seem to contradict the truth that no one can be saved by their works? Yes, it does—at first glance! So, how do we reconcile these two realities?

When you came to Jesus, you acknowledged your guilt. You accepted the verdict: unworthy of salvation on your own. You recognized your need for a Savior.

According to John 5:24, everyone who hears and receives Christ’s word—and believes in the One who sent Him—has already accepted their judgment. They have passed from death into life!
