••► ABOUT THE EP

Wow, first release of this year! I haven't released something in a while, haven't I? Haha
I'm releasing this lovely EP on my birthday! October 12. I've been wanting to make more Kawaii Bass for a while, it's like my favorite style.
Some of these tracks are from my last mix that I released years ago, you may recognize them.
Nostalgic Magic is a revamp of a 2020 ID, I think mostly inspired by fusq. Original was closed to finished. Part of the melody on this track is used as a motif throughout the entire EP.
Digital Summer is also a revamp! Originally went by the name Rainbows. I had it finished, but never released. It's inspired by YOU - Magical Silkhat.
Looking Back is another revamp of a 2020 ID! It was also close to finished. I believe it was an attempt of blending Melodic Dubstep with Kawaii Future Bass. Bridge was also experimental in a way, I don't write Chiptune/Fakebit much.
Led by Fireflies is an unreleased remix I made turned into an original. I know I wanted to make something that is closer to "true Kawaii Future Bass". Really love the melody here!
Dreamrunner is also an unreleased remix turned into an original track. I think my goal was to make cute Drum and Bass, with Happycore influences.
Restart is also another revamp, although not from a really old track, one made in 2022. It started as a Chiptune track in 3/4, then I wanted to hear how it sounds with my usual synths, in 4/4. Really liked how big it sounded. Unlike the other tracks, I had only the drop made for the original ID.
As for the artwork, I remember having a reason to not draw Akosmo for my covers. However I forgot what that was, and I thought the idea could be nice. She looks so cute! I also rarely make pixel art, but I decided to give it a try for this one, since it fit the theme.

Hi there! My name is Akosmo. I'm a 26-year-old music producer, visual artist, and aspiring game developer.

I want to make things that inspire people, and make them feel good. Whenever someone tells me my work have inspired them, made their day, or even felt what I tried to convey with a piece, I know I'm in the right direction. I hope you enjoy my work!

I have always liked to try many different things, whether it's with music, art, games, or just a new form of art. Creative work has been a passion of mine since I was a kid.

My dream is to make games that will make people feel the same way I felt playing my favorite games ever. It's a medium of storytelling I love, and I want to inspire, tell a story, convey emotions, or even make someone feel better with my games.
It's a journey I'm excited for, and I cannot wait to learn new things and meet new people along the way!
In the meantime, I'll keep doing what I do, and spread positivity.
