Fastcar is a music producer from the deserts of Tucson, Arizona. Upon hearing the famous sounds of Chicago Footwork legends such as DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, DJ Phil, Traxman, DJ Clent and many others, he was instantly hooked and dove head first into producing his own rendition of the Chicago Footwork sound. 

The “WARMUP” EP consists of 4 hard hitting & shit talking trax created STRICTLY with the Battle Dancer in mind. With trax such as Y.D.4. chanting “You Done For!” and BEEFIN’s vocal chops “What the FUCK is that?”, it is impossible not to get fired up!

The title encapsulates the essence of the project in the fact that these trax are a warm up for the battle dancers and for FASTACAR himself as there are many more trax in the vault.

En las profundidades de una montaña olvidada, existe una fábrica viva llamada popularmente Skalopendr. En su interior, una centípeda mecánica de engranajes infinitos recorre los pasillos entre hornos y máquinas, controlándolo todo con precisión implacable. Su cuerpo, formado por piezas de acero, mantiene en marcha un ciclo eterno de creación, como si el tiempo mismo se forjara entre sus patas metálicas.

Dicen los pocos que se han acercado que susurra deseos imposibles a quienes se atreven a entrar, pero siempre exige algo a cambio. Otros cuentan que el canto de sus máquinas tiene el poder de consumir la mente, dejando solo ecos de su música industrial. Sea cual sea la verdad, la fábrica sigue latiendo en la montaña, envuelta en humo y misterio, un coloso metálico que nadie puede domar.

Deep within a forgotten mountain lies a living factory, popularly known as Skalopendr. Inside, a mechanical centipede of endless gears roams the halls between furnaces and machines, controlling everything with relentless precision. Its body, forged from steel, drives an eternal cycle of creation, as if time itself were being shaped beneath its metallic limbs.

Those few who have ventured close say it whispers impossible desires to those brave enough to enter, though it always demands something in return. Others claim the song of its machines can consume the mind, leaving behind only echoes of its industrial symphony. Whatever the truth may be, the factory continues to pulse within the mountain, shrouded in smoke and mystery, an untamable metallic colossus.

Me senté en una silla y me quedé mirando. Era un espectáculo glorioso de nada: ruido sin propósito, luces epilepticas. La gente seguía moviéndose al compás de ese ritmo frenético y estridente. “OMG esto es muy divertido”, pensé, mientras el absurdo me masajeaba el lóbulo frontal con uñas sucias.

La alegría era inminente, como una descarga eléctrica a un cadáver. Sonreíamos todos, felices de estar atrapados en esta maraña de rituales grotescos. Una voz se alzó sobre el estruendo y balbuceó algo sin sentido. El resto clamó una ovación por tan inteligibles palabras. Acto seguido, el cuerpo del que procedía la voz vomitó confeti y la congregación lo nombró presidente sin funciones.

I sat down on a chair and stared. It was a glorious spectacle of nothing: purposeless noise, epileptic lights. People kept moving to the beat of that frantic, shrill rhythm. “OMG this is so much fun,” I thought, as absurdity gently massaged my frontal lobe with dirty fingernails.

Joy was imminent, like an electric shock to a corpse. We all smiled, happy to be trapped in this choreography of primal impulses. A voice rose above the din and mumbled something unintelligible. The crowd erupted in applause for such articulate words. We had enthusiastically hit rock bottom and called it progress. Someone threw up glitter and we made them president.

El cielo era una mancha de tinta morada, como si alguien hubiera derramado un frasco de líquido sobre el horizonte. Las calles estaban vacías, pero no en silencio. Un zumbido eléctrico recorría el aire, como si la ciudad misma estuviera conectada a un circuito gigante. En algún lugar, entre los edificios que se alzaban como torres de cristal distorsionado, una puerta se abrió. No era una puerta cualquiera; era un portal, un umbral que vibraba con una energía que no pertenecía a este mundo.

Dentro, todo era movimiento. Luces que se retorcían en espirales infinitas, sonidos que se deslizaban por los rincones como serpientes de cascabel. No había suelo, ni techo, solo un espacio que se expandía y contraía al ritmo de un latido invisible. Allí, en el centro de todo, una figura danzaba. No era humana, pero tampoco era algo que pudieras nombrar. Sus movimientos eran fluidos, como si estuviera hecha de la misma sustancia que lo rodeaba. Cada giro, cada salto, creaba ondas que reverberaban en el aire, transformando el caos en algo que, por un instante, parecía tener sentido.

Fuera, en la ciudad, el zumbido se intensificó. Las ventanas de los edificios comenzaron a brillar con una luz pulsante, como si estuvieran vivas. Alguien, en algún lugar, sintió que el mundo daba un giro. No sabían qué estaba pasando, pero sabían que algo había cambiado. Algo se había soltado, algo que no podía volver a contenerse.

The sky was a smear of purple ink, as if someone had spilled a vial of liquid across the horizon. The streets were empty, but not silent. An electric hum coursed through the air, as if the city itself were plugged into a giant circuit. Somewhere, between the buildings that rose like distorted crystal towers, a door opened. It wasn’t just any door; it was a portal, a threshold vibrating with an energy that didn’t belong to this world.

Inside, everything was movement. Lights twisted into infinite spirals, sounds slithered through corners like rattlesnakes. There was no floor, no ceiling, only a space that expanded and contracted to the rhythm of an invisible heartbeat. There, in the center of it all, a figure danced. It wasn’t human, but it wasn’t something you could name either. Its movements were fluid, as if it were made of the same substance that surrounded it. Every turn, every leap, created waves that reverberated through the air, transforming chaos into something that, for a moment, almost made sense.

Outside, in the city, the hum grew louder. The windows of the buildings began to glow with a pulsating light, as if they were alive. Someone, somewhere, felt the world shift. They didn’t know what was happening, but they knew something had changed. Something had been unleashed, something that couldn’t be contained again.
