KLEM Music proudly presents its first Various Artists: Tales of the Silent Hyphae.

{Hyphae is the plural of hypha - botanical term.
A hypha is a long, branching, filamentous structure of a fungus, oomycete, or actinobacteria. In most fungi, hyphae are the main mode of vegetative growth, and are collectively called mycelium.}
This compilation is an exploration of the eerie liminal, a journey through ambient darkness and rich, melancholic textured atmospheres. 
Inspired by the Hyphae theme, it weaves a sonic tapestry that connects the organic and the surreal, the unseen and the deeply felt.

The VA presents 10 tracks, mostly from FLINTA producers.
Including: INVERNO (label head), Ambu Bambu, FLAX, Guenter Råler, ionzi, Joa Luna, elisanyhm, Sarkha, Sonic Concrete and Waterblip.
Each track reflects a unique interpretation of the compilation’s evocative theme. Mixing genres like: Ambient, Experimental, Liminal Noises, Drones, HyperPop, spoken words and guitar solos.

The artwork by Berlin-based visual artist and photographer Maria Louceiro beautifully encapsulates the essence of "Tales of the Silent Hyphae”.
A delicate blend of soft blues and diffused light, this image evokes the serenity of an open sky touched by an abstract, cloud-like texture.

Iona Evans (artist name ionzi) is a Welsh producer and multi instrumentalist based in Berlin. Her primary inspirations are from Ambient pioneers such as Aphex Twin, The Orb and LTJ Bukem although her style is not defined by a single genre.
She is influenced heavily by atmospheric vocals and is constantly drawing sonic inspiration. She uses music to capture fragments in time, space and memory, aiming to evoke nostalgia and emotion in the listener. She views music as a transcendental journal 🌀🌀🌀

Those who know the Berlin scene a bit know INVERNO as grounding member of the Blvsh collective and more recently as the KLEM label head.

BIO:

INVERNO (no pronouns) means winter in Portuguese, but their performances and productions are far from being cold and static. Their multifaceted knowledge of music is reflected in every genre-fluid and enigmatic set. Creativity shines through with their original productions - always playfully crafted and rarely constricted to one genre.

Eager to experiment and explore the full spectrum of Techno, INVERNO likes to blend boundaries between deep/hypnotic and hard/industrial Techno.
INVERNO has a natural understanding for groove and harmonies as they weave
together tracks, focusing on story-telling and rhythm.
INVERNO is the head of KLEM, an experimental label about Ambient, Lofi and Techno. They contributed to several VA compilations with Ambient and Industrial Techno tracks.

In 2019, INVERNO founded BLVSH collective, whose mission is to grow the exposure, peer support and promotion of FLINTA* talents. Awarded in 2022 by the Tag der Clubkultur price, by Club Commission.
Mentioned in the “Newcomers list for 2023” of Groove Mag Germany, INVERNO
regularly plays in Renate, Zur Klappe, TRESOR, Fuchs2 (CZ), LeftBank Tbilisi (GE) and OXI club just to name a few.
