A simple folk song about a gal who won't work at Aldi. Can you blame her? I went into Aldi the other day and the place was mayhem! People picking up knives and axes from that weird middle aisle and fighting over cheap bags of multi-pack crisps. I saw a young man stabbed to death for some of those cheap knock-off digestive biscuits. It's rough there, man.

Of course, I have nothing against Aldi... [nervous laughter]. Their name just worked well in the song, that's all. Sounded alright, y'know? It made sense, so please don't sue me. I don't have any money. I don't shop at Aldi for fun, I'll have you know. In fact, I don't shop there at all. I just eat crumbs off bird tables.

This song is part of an album I'm putting together and releasing later this year, so stay tuned for that. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm winging it. Like a bird... get it?

DJ TANK (LTBB Promoter and Artist)

Tank began mixing in 2020. Inspired by watching his friends deliver amazing sets at Breakin Science and other big raves, he decided to follow his dream and turn his long-term ambition into reality.

Known for his heavy-hitting jump-up style, Tank is quickly becoming one of Northampton's top DJs in the drum and bass scene.

He has shared line-ups with major artists, including Harry Shotta, Logan D, and Funsta, to name a few.

His first major set is coming up in March, featuring Harry Shotta on the mic. You can expect to hear some heavy basslines from him in 2025.

Ken Crowther talks to Jason Lock, business development manager with Boughton a top soil company based in Kettering. 

Jason has been heavily involved in the landscape and construction industry for over 30 years, starting as a trainee garden designer with Notcutts Garden Centre’s Landscape Division, and progressing to landscape director over a 20-year tenure. He then successful ran his own business ‘DeakinLock Garden Design’ for 10 years, before taking on a role at Bowles and Wyer as head of design and build for 3 years, before shifting focus on to new ventures.  

Jason has also been on the committee of Professional Landscapers for 10 years, spending 7 years as a chairman and is an active judge for the BALI Awards.
