Ricardo Tobar returns to MUSAR with 'Knitting' - a four-track EP blending dancefloor intimacy with raw, analog spirit. A two original cuts from the Chilean producer are joined by standout remixes from synth sorcerer Pye Corner Audio and cosmic rave queen Nightwave.

The EP opens with 'Los Siblings', a distilled snapshot of Tobar’s current sound: intricate arrangements, ethereal melodies, heavyweight bass-line and a vintage edge shaped for the club. “I’m embracing the dancefloor,” he says. “This is me doing tunes I would like to dance to.”

On the flip, 'Knitting' unravels from a simple arpeggio into lysergic ‘’Stereolab’' - techno chaos-alive, imperfect, and deeply personal. “It sounds like it wants to eat itself,” Tobar reflects. Layers on layers of psychedelia and cosmic melody turn this into a trippy journey track like no one else does.

New to music creation, so taking my first baby steps here! What has inspired me to start composing songs/writing lyrics, is the International Virtual Knit Nights (iVKN) online fiber arts crafting community that my significant other and I are Administrators and Hosts of. This International community has been in operation since the start of 2018 and is currently in its 8th year! The iVKN is an inclusive and diverse group and we are a welcoming, friendly and above all bunch of people! The bonds and friendships that have been created here are truly unique and one of the things that made me decide to create my first ever song. Credit of course should go to DJ AyEye125 and Lady Genevieve. The former artist composed the music and co-wrote the lyrics with me and the latter artist with her wonderful voice, gave us the great vocals you hear throughout the song "iVKN We Unite!". DJ AyEye125 also made a song in reply to the doubters out there who may have initially criticized our inaugural song and collaboration and both artists have of course given me the permission and green light to share their song "Haters Gonna Hate" in the near future, on my SoundCloud account here, so stay tuned!
