Expero Summit Highlight

Tine Vrabič, aka Nitz, has been one of the driving forces behind ever evolving Ljubljana’s electronic music scene for more than 15 years. In his early days he was a member of the Synaptic crew which was organizing events in the Klub K4, releasing music, and hosting a legendary Chill&Grill event for several years. Tine later became also the curator and creative manager of the mentioned Klub K4 where he left a very big mark by taking care of a diverse and forward thinking selection of guests and club nights. He is responsible for many young local artists getting the opportunity to play there, giving them the proper djing club experience. During all this time he was also focusing on his production, releasing a wide variety of music within different projects and progressing as a live performer with hardware equipment and Ableton. His great work was noticed also abroad, one of the standouts are his Fabric mix, Future Intel mix, his Rinse FM podcast and today, Nitz is represented by the Rings of Neptune Agency. We sat down with Tine, a couple of weeks after his brilliant dj set at one of our events in 2024, to talk about music, his creative process, local scene and much more. We could not imagine a better guest for our first podcast.

We’re on a journey, still discovering who we are and where we want to go. There are six of us, each bringing our unique perspective, but all united by one thing: music. It’s the thread that first wove us together, organizing impromptu events in the most unconventional ways. Picture this: hauling our speaker system to the heart of a city park, hooking it up to batteries powered by solar panels, and just letting the music flow. We called it Sončna Muzičarna, or Solar Sound. What started as a spontaneous, almost irrational endeavor began to resonate, drawing more and more people into our orbit.

As our community grew, so did our vision. We realized that we couldn’t confine ourselves to the simple yet electrifying concept of Sončna Muzičarna. Our ambitions expanded far beyond, and with that expansion came the need for a broader identity. Thus, Muzičarna was born.

Muzičarna isn't just a name; it's a declaration of our intent. There’s so much we dream of doing—if we can just get a bit more organized, channel our energy, invest our time, money, and maybe a bit of our sanity. We’re ready to pour our heart and soul into this, because we believe in the transformative power of music.
