This is my birthday gift to y'all. I'm retiring by beatmaker moniker John Dope and to commemorate the event, releasing an album consisting of 37 beats I've made in the timeframe of approx. 2010-2023. Some of the instrumentals on the album are what I've rapped on myself, some I've already released as just single beats, some I have never posted anywhere before. As per the culture and my philosophy, the album is COPYRIGHT-FREE so anybody and everybody is free to use them to rap/sing on, remix, use in videos, podcasts, resell them, or in general do whatever you wish with them, for both personal and commercial purposes - your imagination is the limit (technically it is CC-BY 4.0 license which means you'd need to credit me, but while crediting is nice, honestly - I don't really care). Streaming via Wavlake #V4V exclusively for the first 24 hours, streaming on other major platforms and download links will be available 30 July 2024.

Сингл "Идиот" - это первая работа артиста под новым псевдонимом и в непривычном для него жанре, хотя за спиной Александра богатое музыкальное прошлое в среде гоа и психоделик транса под псевдонимом Anix Gleo.

Оригинал трека "Идиот" - это брэйкбит даунтэмпо электроника с жирными басами и необычным по исполнению вокалом.
Ремикс от Electrosoul System - достаточно кислотный текстэп в непредсказуемом прочтение Андрея.
Стас Dissident на релизе выступил как Kontext, сделав оригинальный idm-образный ремикс, начинающийся с расслабленного, но грувого ритма, постепенно переходящего звонкий, почти металлический боевик.

"Tähevärav" ("Stargate") is a lyrical stream of consciousness; it's wordplay and rhyme scheming, but its central narrative is the importance of confidence, staying unapologetically true to yourself & facing the hardships of life with courage. These are all themes and issues that I've been struggling and dealing with for most of my life and, the track serves, first and foremost, the purpose of being a reminder to myself to not give in to the pressure, to not give up, to continue betting on myself and what I believe to be true. Life is too short to let yourself be ruled by anyone else but your higher self.

Armed with nothing more than a simple Lenovo laptop, his own custom-made samples, and a handful of plugins, the artist has crafted a truly unique sound. The goal was to push the boundaries of synthesis and sound design, using entirely raw, self-recorded materials.

According to the artist, this time he stepped away from traditional notions of inspiration and formalism. Instead, he focused on blending the seemingly unblendable - drawing elements from entirely different genres and merging them into a cohesive whole. Kontext 001 is now there for you to experience.
