New 140 Bass / Breakbeat jam with my Korg Electribe 2s with Hacktribe firmware and the mini mono synth Korg Monotron. For this jam i made some drum samples using different internal synth tracks (for example a tone, a click and a noise for the snare) then resampling in a single shot drum sound. I created a sort of 808 style kit and used to arrange the grooves. For the synth sounds i used mainly the FM oscillator of the Hacktribe version. With the Monotron i made some transitions and FX. New Dark Experimental Jam with Korg volca Drum, Monotron and Zoom B1on multi FX.
I think that the sequencer of Korg Volca Drum is the best of the Volca serie, but have a big limitation: the pattern lenght! Of course you can chain different patterns but this exclude the use of mute and other functions. I seen a lot of videos with ambient sequences mad a really slow tempo so i tried to double the lenght of the patterns setting 86 bpm (instead of 172) and got 16th notes using the "slice" function on bpth drums and synths. I also added a digital multi FX (the Zoom B1on) with a custom chain with compressor, a little of distortion, an EQ and at the end a Plate Reverb. The sound it's more dirty and deep with a presence ideal for live performances. For FX and transitions i used the Korg Monotron and added a little of reverb and delay from the mixer (the session is recorded in muti-track). Enjoy!!
