Not sure if he had ever read any book written by Jack Kerouac or any other beat generation writers...etc, myself, I haven't  read any book from beat generation era but I'm aware the era has existed and I am sure it was an awesome "Pre Hippie" era! Although I was a books worm throughout my childhood until one day when I was unable to change the ending of the damn book so I got all pissed off and decided to stop reading! Shame on me! 😉

Our very first Cronenberg movie for the show and it’s the most recent and there’s wound fucking in it so what more do you need to know? We’re talking about David Cronenberg’s CRIMES OF THE FUTURE starring Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux & Kristen Stewart. When you live in a world without pain, that leaves a vacuum that only horniness can fill. Also in that vacuum will come an organ that is regrowing that you have to keep cutting out. You’re gonna be bringing scalpels into the bedroom after you watch this piece of work. It’s body and tech, bruh. You know who made this. You ever fellate a wound before? I’ll stop.

Crimes Of The Future (2022)

The Orphanage (2007)

The Orphanage (Spanish: El orfanato) is a 2007 Spanish gothic supernatural horror film and the debut feature of Spanish filmmaker J. A. Bayona. The film stars Belén Rueda as Laura, Fernando Cayo as her husband, Carlos, and Roger Príncep as their adopted son Simón. The plot centers on Laura, who returns to her childhood home, an orphanage. Laura plans to turn the house into a home for disabled children, but after an argument with Laura, Simón goes missing.  The film's script was written by Sergio G. Sánchez in 1996 and brought to the attention of Bayona in 2004. Bayona asked his long-time friend, director Guillermo del Toro, to help produce the film and to double its budget and filming time. Bayona wanted the film to capture the feel of 1970s Spanish cinema; he cast Geraldine Chaplin and Belén Rueda, who were later praised for their roles in the film.

Personal Shopper (2017)

Personal Shopper is a 2016 supernatural psychological thriller film written and directed by Olivier Assayas. The film stars Kristen Stewart as a young American woman in Paris who works as a personal shopper for a celebrity and tries to communicate with her deceased twin brother.  An international co-production between Belgium, Czech Republic, France and Germany,  the film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. At Cannes, Assayas shared the Best Director Award with Cristian Mungiu, who directed Graduation. The film was released on 14 December 2016 in France and 10 March 2017 in the United States. The film received positive reviews from critics, with particular praise for Stewart's performance.

#402 - What's The One Where You Throw Tires At Everybody?

De achttiende aflevering van het derde seizoen van Cinepraatjes, de podcast van Cinemaatjes. JP wilde beginnen met het rechtzetten van iets uit de vorige podcast. We hebben allebei de teaser-trailer van de nieuwe Ghostbusters gezien en JP heeft ook de trailer van de nieuwe Godzilla film gezien. Ook deze keer zijn we er zeker van dat we de film uit Marino’s sonnet hebben geraden, alhoewel JP wel een beetje William’s hulp daarvoor nodig had. William keek per ongeluk een ‘Alien’ ripoff en bespreekt dus ‘Underwater’ met Kristen Stewart uit 2020. JP keek per ongeluk ook een film die leek op de film die hij in de vorige podcast besprak, hij bespreekt ‘The Guyver’  een superheldenfilm uit 1991. William keek ook nog de nieuwste film van David Fincher ‘The Killer’. We trokken wederom een film uit de VHS-kast en zelfs eentje van de porno-plank, maar was het ook echt een porno? We checken het in ieder geval eventjes door de videoband op te zetten. In de Special bespreken we wederom Sciencefiction films uit een bepaald decennium en wel de jaren 70, maar tijdens onze voorbereiding kwamen we er achter daar toch nog wat in achter te liggen. Uiteraard beantwoorden we ook weer vragen van luisteraars over o.a. lensflare in sciencefictions, naar welke film we zouden gaan voor vakantie, onze casting van de Scribbly film (de strip van JP), bioscoopervaringen van vroeger die we terug willen en de beste komische acteur in een griezelrol.
