I think it's pretty obvious who I'm trying to imitate here (or at least I hope so, otherwise I did an even worse job than I thought XD It'll probably be a one-time thing, anyway (well, this and the other version, that is) but we'll see...) and I can assure you I have nothing but admiration for him. Nevertheless, while I was writing the lyrics, I kinda let a certain sillyness I can (!) tend to get the better of me so it might kinda come off as a parody similar to the one The Simpsons did, in spite of me trying my best to work against that in the vocal performance. Again, that's not really the intention so much as creating a sincere homage (I mean as far as he didn't already display a lot of underappreciated / misunderstood humor himself as the true fans know). In other words, I guess it's a fine line between sheer (or in this case (maybe) comical) nonsensicalness in the lyrics and actually imitating the particular way he wrote his lyrics. Getting more into that, analyzing it more rather than just wriiting down whatever came to mind and not letting the fact that it (possibly) came out comical stop me (on the contrary, even, in some cases) would simply have been too exhausting and taken up too much time for me to, at this point, finally go "Ah, well, whatever" and give this a try after having done a lot of VERY different things up to this point (check it out yourself here on the channel)... 
  I recorded the singing and the guitar at the same time, so I guess it's more like a demo, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I mean, a certain simplicity is kinda the point here. Still, the fact that it says "acoustic version" does indeed imply that a "proper" one will follow asap and, what can I say, Butch Vig's got nothing on it... Obviously kidding, I'm doing the best I can with the equipment I can afford, so, yeah, please keep that in mind XD
